The atmosphere and service is great but the food is subpar. Their bolognese sauce is like jar sauce and the chicken parm is so salty. The food is not worth the price. Maybe I was there onthe chef's day off but boy was I dissappointed.

I've been to Il sole a few times and every time it gets better. Service was great the atmosphere was wonderful and the holiday decor makes this place as cozy as possible. I love this place.

By far the best Pasta in Inwood. I love their fresh bread and great atmosphere. Reduce the prices on your drinks and I would be in heaven. I don't comprehend the negative reviews of this place. The three times I've been here, I've loved it.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice restaurant. It is casual and very clean. I love rice and beans but the Italian food was a nice change. The service was good and the food was very tasty. Have been to some of the most expensive restaurants in the city and I was impressed by this little spot. If you are a snob then stay in the city and overpay for pasta. ENOY!!!!!!

My chic friends and I love this spot. We love the food and the Sangria. It's a great place to unwind after dealing with our students all day. Whether you are eat inside the restaurant or outside, the ambience is comfortable and friendly.

My friends and I love this restaurant. Brunch is delicious. Pasta dishes are all great, especially pesto. Orange-salmon is to die for. Food is 70% Sicily, 30% DR: lots of olive oil, fresh seafood, and rich, spicy sauces (Sicily!), slightly sweet and not always prepared the same way (DR!). Pros: DELICIOUS, esp. if you prefer Sicilian food to typical Italian fare, affordable, delicious Cons: Service is uneven (at best), bread is not made on the premises, deserts are OK, but nothing to jump up and down about

I'm of Italian descent and Il Sole is in no way shape or form an Italian restaurant. My wife and tried it since we live close by, but we will not be going back.
