Dont waste your time or money

ordered from this restaurant cause i was in the mood for italian food. Ordered the Linguini al pesto and chicken marsala. Only to be called back 20 minutes later to be told theres no pesto sauce so i had to change my order to chicken alfredo. After waiting the 45 minutes for the food to be delivered, they forgot to bring the pasta for my chicken marsala, so i had to wait another 40 minutes for them to bring that. Now that i can finally eat the food the chicken alfredo tastes horrible, it doesnt even come close to resembling the way alfredo is supposed to taste. the whole thing actually just tastes like egg yoke, bland and unsatisfying. the chicken marsala is okay at best...I can only say im sorry to have wasted my time and money on this place.

    Delivery Fee

I called to make an order for delivery. After stopping to see if they deliver to an address 2.5 blocks away from the restaurant, I was told that I had to pay a $2.00 delivery fee charge! "This goes towards the delivery boy," was the explanation. In my opinion that is why people tip. I don't feel a restaurant should charge for delivery or at the very least they should openly advertise this, not mention it in passing. Absurd. Will not order food from here until the ridiculous surcharge is removed.

    This is not authentic italian

the food here is subpar. I ordered a baked ziti and i got penne with what tasted like ragu sauce and melted cheese. that was not a baked ziti. for desert we had a tiramisu and it wanted like dominican cake soaked in baileys irish cream. don't waste your time and money

    Dominican style Italian food

Since il sole opened the food has been amazing. Everything on it's menu has a unique taste, which is hard to do in any italian restaurant. The service varies from great to just okay depending on the waiter/waitress. Also, the crowd depends on what time of the day. The area drive me nuts the best of times but the food is well worth it. Catch a meal mid afternoon weekday or weekend and you won't have to deal with much of the noisy crowd.

Since the resturant has opened it has been improving everytime we go. The manager Jose Luis is very attentive. The location is always neat and clean. The food is fabulous. It has a great enviroment.

Is this place supposed to be Italian?

Well, whether it's Italian or not, the food is mediocre. I can make whatever is on the menu better at home (have been there enough times to have tried everything once). The service is typical to this neighborhood, excruciatingly slow. But, their calamari is tasty.
