Since Il Riccio opened it has been our local favorite! super for lunch, dinner or special occasions (they have a cute little back room with skylights! Nice in a city of brick buildings!!!) the Pastas are fresh.. The Tiramisu out of this world! Their Gamberoni are excellent! Their Chicken Milanese and Veal Parm are excelente! love the fried artichokes and fried zucchini as well. Hope they stay in the neighborhood for as long as we are in NYC!

The chef needs to spice things up! The Caesar Salad dressing was like poi - thick, bland and tasteless. The pasta was mediocre and boring. This place would be great for those on a spice-free diet. I will not repeat this dining experience.

The food is exceptional, especially the pastas. I go there often, and it is one of my favorite restaurants. I've never been disappointed with the food and i've gone about 20 or more times. The atmosphere is great, and i feel like I'm in Italy when there. However, the service is mediocre. I never can understand what the waiter is saying when he reads 15 specials so fast and with an accent. Sometimes the service is good, however normally it isn't. Many people may find it expensive because of the simplicity of the food, but the food is outstanding and is worth the price.

The food was chill. I would recommend this place to other people. It was just a little expensive.

The best Dover Sole and Linguine alle Vongole in town.

when looking for a restaurant for dinner we often try it for lunch first. We went last Sunday. While we thought the waiters and atmosphere were fine, as was the wine, 2 of the 4 meals had to be sent back because they were not hot enough. The meals were pasta dishes, 2 with eggplant, others with sausage, and we all thought our meals were just ok. Not that presentation has to be perfect but they all just appeared to be ladeled into our bowls. Hopefully it was just an off day.

The food is acceptable but the waiters have a huge attitude problem. They belive they are better and smarter than you are. I felt very uneasy and unwelcome dining there.
