Delivery is great, CC over the phone too..

Paninis are more like just big sandwhiches in ciabitta bread but they are still quite delicious .. also probably the best pizza you can get in the neighborhood... they take credit ccards over the phone, and they are very polite and helpful.

    best pizza in brooklyn

i thought grimaldi was good...il porto pizza is arguably the best ive ever had..delicious...the pastas are very good as well...someone commented on the lasagna..which i dont think was not on the money..ive tried the lasagna many times and its always delicious... ive never tried the lobster lasagna though...sounds good

    Best Pizza and italian food

ive eaten at il porto several times now, it is consistant..and delicious..the pastas are amazing, and the pizzas ..out of the wood burning brick oven are the best in brooklyn , the gran ma pie is delicious..and so is the dry aged steak...i highly recommend this place...

    Great Delivery

While I am not a big fan of the ambience of the place, their delivery is great! The staff is very sweet, if not a little dim, and delivery is always fast and hot. I have tried a few of the pasta dishes and was not terribly impressed. I do, however, highly recommend their chicken parm panini and pizza.

    Skip the lasagna

Just tried their lasagna. While other items on Il Porto's menu definitely satisfy, I found this particular dish woefully pedestrian. There were literally three morsels of meat swimming in too much cheese and so-so sauce.

If you like cold and chewy pizza

We have tried this place twice now and each time delivery was slow and the pizza was just fair. I don't like that the crust is black on the bottom either. They are friendly and that is what probably made me try it again, but that was the last time.

    Great Neighborhood Italian!!

I've ordered from Il Porto 3-4 times and i've found their food to be consistently excellent. I'm a native NY'er so it takes a lot to impress me. They are always extremely courteous when they answer the phone. I've never dined in, so i can't speak to the atmosphere or waiter service, but delivery is always prompt and friendly. Food arrives hot and appetizingly presented. I find myself craving their Spinaci salad and their Melenzane Rollatina (eggplant rollatini w delicious smoked mozzarella..mmm). Their brick oven pizza is also a delight. I live in the neighborhood and at some point would love to try their brunch and i think that they also have live music sometimes. Anyhow, this place is a neighborhood gem. You should def give it a try..
