I rate this restaurant as one of the finest in NYC!! I will tell you why. My brother came over from Calif. So we had to pick an exceptional place for dinner. We had a party of 7. They have tables all set up outside so that's where we ate. I ordered the "special" which was Grouper, very good and light over Risotto. BUT my brother had "Pappardella Alla Casalinga" which was my original choice, fresh ribbon pasta with porcini mushrooms, prosciutto, onion and mascarpone cheese Which was to die for! We shared the dishes. They gave you basil infused olive oil with bread that was so good, excellent service, it was Labor Day, the streets were packed, they never rushed us once & said take your time, the staff were professional and super nice. About 7 waiters gathered around my table with my Tiramisu I ordered with a lit candle in it and sang me Happy Birthday that the entire block heard! The Tiramisu was orgasmic! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

After mulling around the Court House trying to find a lunch spot that wasn't a deli, I stumbled into Il Palazzo. Tony (not sure what he does exactly) greeted me and invited me. After showing me to lovely table in the garden area, he sat down with me and we had a delightful conversation. After a wonderful pasta and wine suggestion from him, I had the best Jury Duty lunch ever! The Pappardella Alla Casalinga was super tasty - and although it's only listed on the dinner menu, I was able to get a lunch portion. I finished up my lunch with a perfectly foamed cappuccino. Jury duty has never been so fun! Thanks to Tony & all the servers at Il Palazzo.

we were here the week of oct 7...after being accosted by so many street waiters at other restaurants in Little Italy, we decided to try Il Palazzo simply because their waiters did not try to entice us in. The service was impeccable, the food (Gnocci and veal) incredible, and atmosphere TRUE new york. We loved it, recommend it and would go back again.

This place was a gem of a find in Little Italy the first time I visited te area, and never disappointed. I loved the pasta, loved the attentiveness of the servers, and the lack of pushiness for a Little Italy restaurant. My first group of guests all had various chicken and other meat off the menu, but I stuck to the pasta, because of my vegetarian diet. After returning a half a dozen times and trying each of their non-meat pasta dishes, and a couple where they omitted their nice prosciutto for me, I decided to do the rounds and start trying other area restaurants. I've regretted each, have even come across a few real disasters, and have come to the conclusion that our first lucky try, Il Palazzo, was the best, and all I really want. I'll be going back to rekindle that first flame.

We were called in my the guy standing outside the restaurant and the environment was nice enough inside. However everything else went downhill. The waiter was almost rude and un-enthusiastic as if he was doing us a favor and on top of that included the gratuity in the bill itself so we had no way to express our opinion about their service. Definitely a no visit if you are looking for a upbeat place to eat.

We chose Il Palazzo after receiving a business card from Pellegrinos, showing they were sister restaurants. We looked forward to the gnocci's and other food for weeks. The potato gnocci's were very 'melt-away' and enjoyable. The ravioli with cheese filling was just 'okay'. The veal marsala was excellent. Lots of bread and water, but the server had too many tables to be terrific. Three different glasses of wine; all excellent! Would love to go again. Two couples split the $160 tab...

I have tried a few of the restaurants in Little Italy and must say, this one has the best tasting food so far. The gnocchi's almost melt in your mouth. When they make it, I like to have the zabaglione for dessert, not an easy dessert to find.
