Yummy!!
I just love this little restaurant. A neighborhood original. The food is terrific. Always consistant. They have the best brick oven pizza in Tribeca. There pasta dishes are also very good. Italian bread is delish. I do recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoy's good food and service.

Great little place!
I almost don't want to write a review so as not to give away this great little secret. Everytime I come here the food and service never disappoint. Every dish I have ordered I have loved (except the pizza...not my favorite). Wine list is decent (affordable) and their dipping oil for the bread is to DIE for (there's parmesan in the olive oil....SO good). They are hardly ever packed to capacity, so chances are you can walk in and get a table. Also, they deliver and the food taste's just as good. It's such a great little neighborhood place.

Yummy!
I just love this place. The food is always terrific. I love all the dishes here. My favorite is the Penne Vodka!! Delish!! Service is always attentive. Best Brick oven pizza in the neighborhood!!! Highly Recommend it!

Best in Tribeca
Seriously the best pizza! Consistently fabulous pasta and great specials every day! I eat their IL Matone individual pizza with a side salad once a week and diet the rest of the week... it's amazing!

great food and service!!
I live in the neighborhood and just love this little Italian restaurant. Every pasta dish is delish!! The appetizers are also terrific and very tasty!! And there brick oven pizza is the best in Tribeca. No other can compare!! I recommend this restaurant.

Pleasant Surprise
After attending the Tribeca Film Street Festival, a group of 6 of us wandered into Il Mattone on Saturday. We are quite happy with what we found. We tried many of the appetizers, with the Grilled Calamari and Lemony Artichoke Hearts my favorite. The Vodka Sauce pizza was my favorite specialty pie. For entree I had the Gnocchi with Bolognese Sauce that was superb (Hold the broccoli raab next time!). Though I do not drink it, my wife raved about the Sangria. The restaurant was cozy, and while it was very busy, we were never rushed. All and all, a great find. We will be back.

Great Pizza!
Il Mattone has the best Brick Oven Pizza in Tribeca. This place is a landmark in Tribeca.
