Yumm!
It was really a wonderful spot! The service was great and so was the food. The decor could be a bit better, a little spars for my taste but it was really a great place!! I will definitely be going back!

Now hunting for a new neighborhood favorite
I’ve been visiting this restaurant for 5-6 years – but am now hunting for another neighborhood favorite. I ordered the whole sea bass ($40) and received 6-8 small forkfulls of fish – it was a miniscule serving accompanied by 7 tiny roasted potatoes ($8). The coup de grace was the new wine list - $18 -$22 per glass (of the two I sampled, neither were memorable). I have recommended this restaurant to many business associates and personal friends – of course that is ending. I understand the need to make a profit, but reducing portion-size and raising prices is not the way to retain customer loyalty.

Top quality, perfect atmosphere
I've been there several times, for business lunches and family affairs, and it is a real Italian gem in Manhattan. The atmosphere has an elegant simplicity difficult to find now-days, the authentic Southern Italian food is done with heart using the best ingredients, and the service is superb. I could not recommend more! As a plus, they have a great indoor garden that makes you really feel at home. The wine list is done with knowledge and it offers great Italian pleasures at a reasonable prices. I highly recommend the fish of the day, ask for the specials, and the great selections of homemade pastas.

Disappointed
After hearing great reviews, we went to eat at this restaurant. There was a limited menu although it did look good. Our appetizer was good although very small. The dinners were disappointing and the service was rude. You could tell they were rushing to close or move us along. The food tasted cheap and the prices were high. Out of all the places we ate over our travels to NYC this was the most disappointing. I would not return.

Best Southern Italian in New York
This is the only New York Italian to which I will bring Italian clients. Exquisite food and spectacular wine list (including some real bargains). I have done corporate functions here as well. I also bring friends. It is a gem.

Very Nice
My concierge recommended this to my finace and I and we were very happy with the service, food and atmosphere. You could tell all the customers were really enjoying themselves. The food is very tasty but not overdone and they are served piping hot! The wine reccomendation was superb, we ordered two bottles! Very nice place for a intimate dinner.
