    poor servce

I would have to agree with the prior review. The place was so tiny and that in of itself is not what would cause me to write this negative review. What I was appalled by was the shoddy service that I received while there. The waiter must have asked me 3 times if I was done with my plate (2 out of the 3 times I was visibly still eating from it). Apperantly they were concerned with rushing us out of there and getting the next guests in. They never came back to refill our waters and never asked us if we wanted another glass of wine. We just got our dessert and I finally managed to flag the guy down to ask for a second glass of wine and guess what his response was? "No, we can't give you a 2nd glass b/c you already are into your dessert!". I couldn't believe what I just heard so I called over the owner and asked the same question. This was her exact response "No, we can't give you a second glass of wine b/c you are almost finished with your meal and to be honest there is a line of people waiting outside to eat in here so if you really want another glass of wine you should go to a bar". I'll give them this much, the food was pretty good but with the way we were treated there, it really does overshadow that fact. It was good Italian food but I've been to other Italian restaurants with food just as good and who know how to treat their customers appropriately.

Love it - Just one fly in the ointment

I've been eating here for three years and have always loved it. the menu is extensive. The lunch special is the best in town. The service is great, delivery is fast. No complaints til I met the hostess (I had never met her before!). I came here with a date. Told the hostess that I'm a regular. She ended up taking our order. We ordered a few appetizers and a pasta entree to share, thinking we might also have a second afterward. She said - no second orders, It wasn't the rule as much as her tone. And THEN she said, If you're such a regular, you should know that by now. Food was good as always, but somehow it went down bitter.

    Tiny

I read a bunch of the previous reviews for this restaurant and so I felt pretty good about choosing to eat there. I wish I hadn't. This place is tiny and there's barely room between tables, not to mention the tables are so tiny that the food barely fits on the table by itself, along with glasses and the water pitcher. We ordered the Crostini Pomodoro, expecting a classic bruschetta. Instead all we got were two pieces of toasted bread with cold diced tomatoes and a tiny drop of ricotta cheese on top. My friend ordered one of the ravioli dishes. For $10, she was expecting something at least worthwhile. Instead, she got five tiny pieces of ravioli that were so overpowered by garlic that she couldn't taste anything else. I ordered one of the seafood pasta dishes and the muscles and shrimp were so small and rubbery that they were not worth the price of a seafood dish. The waiters were also not very good. Because there's no room between tables, the waiters practically stand on top of you, breathing down your neck and not once do they check to see if everything is okay.

    Fantastic!

A family of 6 (including 2 girls age 7 and 10) ate dinner and it was great. A varied menu, good portions, and reasonable prices. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    hard to beat

The food is excellent, the pasta is always al dente, which is no small feat for all the pasta they serve each day. All the sauces are homemade and delicious. Plenty to choose from, very reasonable prices, and very nice and accommodating waitstaff. (pretty easy to get a table by the sidewalk, just have to wait a little longer) Some people may have a hard time understanding what a rule is but the restaurant does have some which are pretty darn easy to follow. Some people probably just think that the rules don't apply to them. We all know someone like that. I think if the only bad thing you can say about a place is that they wouldn't serve you until you had your entire party...boo hoo. No gripes about the food. We had salads and a pie of pizza as appetizers and pastas for the entrees. Absolutely fabulous. The pesto tortellini was amazing. Of course, if you want excellent food this is the place. If you want someone to kiss your rearend then this is not the place for you.

    Great Food, Great Service

Even though it was busy, my party of six was seated quickly with very little waiting. The hostess and waiters were extremely nice and helpful. There are TONS of pasta choices that are comprised of really interesting combinations. It really challenges you to try something new and everything that we had was delicious. I highly recommend this place for its inexpensive prices, great service, and awesome pasta. GO!

    Tons of Pastas

The menu here is really incredible...I have never seen so many pasta choices and I have gone to a million Italian restaurants. I have not experienced any rude people working there and they have always been accommodating with regards to any changes on the dishes I wanted (i.e. using whole wheat pasta, leaving out certain ingredients, adding other ingredients). I highly recommend this place to any pasta lovers.
