Me and my family live in manhattan but we gladly stop by anytime we are in Brooklyn; they have the best grilled octopus ever! Nothing beats charcoal; it's not chewy or dry like some places; it's not swimming in oil either. Few Greek places come close, but none tops it. Rest of the menu is ok, can't leave the place without trying the cheesecake, I can imagine a "nana" In the kitchen; that's how home made everything feels. Casual, no snotty manhattan attitude and great value. If I go to an Italian food place and see it packed with Italians, it's a good sign. Btw it feels like going to one of those low-key mafia restaurants from the movies with the red-squared tableclothes, it only adds to the charm

I have lived in this neighborhood for over 25 years, and I consider myself to have a very discerning taste for good Italian food. My family and I have been coming here repeatedly for at least 15 years, for family celebrations, casual dining, as well as first dates =) The food is great, consistent, and affordable. My all-time favorite is the Pizza Speciale Del Colosseo -- it's got, mushrooms, sliced ham and sliced hot dogs on it. Might sound a little strange, but I've literally been ordering it for 15 years and I have never been disappointed. If anyone ever asks me for a recommendation on a good Italian restaurant in Bensonhurst, or all of Brooklyn, for that matter, this is always my #1 go-to place. I just can't say enough about it!

I love this place. I feel as though I am dining in Italy when i come here. Great pizza and superb pasta - I love their Bolognese - the best i've ever had - (maybe better than my own!)

Consistently good food, accommadates requests not on menu, great antipasti and pastas. Very good value. Always stop in when in Brooklyn.
