Sunday I joined a party of about 40 friends for a brunch celebration here. Upon entering I found the music so loud the hostess couldn't hear me, I thought little of it and joined my friends in a private space in the back of the restaurant. After a short while we found the music was way too loud, we had to scream to be heard. I could then see why this place was half empty. The Manager was asked if the music could be lowered, arrogantly he said it was going to get louder, "it was their concept". We thought what lousy coustomer service, what a lousy concept. He made sure the music got louder, and many of the group again asked if it could be lowered. Surely this room was zoned and the sound could be lowered separately. After many unsuccessful attempts to get any positive response we asked to be moved to the ajoining sister restaurant, Barbaresco. We found the music level there was acceptable,but once again the same manager said the music would get louder there too. The manager's additude was the worst I've ever encountered in my many years in NYC. He stated "if we wanted to leave he didn't care", so we did. We could see where this was going and already started to make other arrangements at a really good restaurant across the street. There are many things to consider in a restaurant, at the top of my list is customer service. If you can't get cusotomer service forget about the food.

I thought this place was great. The wine was good, service was great and food was delicious. I also thought it was very reasonably priced. I will definitely go back!

I've always thought this was a fine and passable dinner choice, but I will never go for brunch again. First, They blast music. So if you want to go somewhere and have a conversation forget this place. Also, I ordered an omelette which was not an omelette at all. Instead it was cooked like it was from a bad diner. Not folded with as an omelette should be. It was very disappointing and I won't be going back for brunch ever again.

I went to this place for the first time last month for a friends birthday and absolutely loved it! I went with a group of 8 and the service and food were excellent. Definitely would recommend this place.

Went last Sunday & the food was delicious! The all you can drink is genius. The pancakes were so fluffy & filling & that syrup? ...Amazing!

The food quality seems to have gone down... and the service, on a slow mid-Sunday afternoon was completely deplorable.... or perhaps it was just that our server preferred to chat and flirt with the hostess... Requested check 3 times - each time he acknowledged us and continued to speak with the server, laugh and smile. Not going back and will definitely not recommend to any friends in the future.

I used to love this restaurant but lately seems like it's going down. I heard it might close soon and based on my experience it should. The food was disappointing, I could have cooked better home! The atmosphere lacks of soul and that might be because all the good staff members left this place, probably because they were not making good money anymore. Now they are left with only the staff members that could not find a job anywhere else. I miss my favorite waiter Jaime and I miss the whole warm atmosphere that once was there. Tonight I was greeted poorly from my first step into this restaurant and from there it just got worse. I doubt I will be back, and I doubt my friends will either. This is sad, one of my favorite places is gone and this is makes me very sad. Oh well I'm sure I will find another good restaurant in Chelsea anyways:)
