The fried beans tasted a bit weird. milky, no spices..too plain. The enchiladas were tasteless as well. The service was slow and they did not serve all the food at the same time.

This restaurant uses chicken broth in both their beans and rice, so its nearly impossible for a vegetarian or vegan to find a good meal here.

I was walking around in the city and i was with a friend, and i saw this giant green iguana and said to her hey lets go eat there. me being a chef i love to try new things. So entering the restaurant the first thing i noticed was the FF& E. Awesome i haven't eaten anything or sat down and i already love this place. So ordering the food the server was so nice. The female that i was with charmed him with spanish and scored herself a free margerita. The meal was outstanding. With the mexican roots that was evident in the ambiance, in the dim lights and our outstanding service. It won my heart. A great find for this place and i continue to go there. This restaurant is worth the trip, and you will leave there feeling better then you went in. Because there is nothing like being satisfied with the service and great food. This restaurant also offers a underground club on Fridays. It has it all. If you love to eat mexican food this place is for you.

We found this place through this site, and it didn't disappoint! Good food, great service, and excellent value - especially good if you stick to the 'Mexican selections' Would highly recommend it!

I live in Manhattan and have heard about Iguana from many people., but had never tried it. This past week friends came in from Atlanta and were staying on the West side. Their friends told them to try Iguana, so I met them there. I loved it! The atmosphere is wonderful, service is really excellent. The staff were right there at every whim to take care of you. They have the best guacamole in town, make it fresh right at the table. If you like barbeque ribs, you will love the way Iguana makes them. I'm glad my friends from another state took me there--Iguana is now on my list of favorite resturants!

Took my family here for an early Saturday night dinner. We all found the restaurant mediocre at best. Overrated, would not go back and would not recommend. Music was loud, annoying and was like listening to the top 20 countdown on MTV. The best I can say is that the Iguana doorhandle was most authentic.
