The greatest
My father and I go around town to a bunch of restaurants, and out of all the sushi places we've been to, this one is by FAR the best. Highly recommended!

Friendly sushi atmosphere
Great afternoon lunch without being rushed. Food was great-soup is authentic not made from chicken broth mixture, salmon perfectly cooked, and decadent oysters appetizer

Reviewing Delivery Only - Uneven
I have only had delivery from this place. Quality is uneven -- sometimes I am really impressed by the quality/price ratio but every once in a while I end up with a very funky piece of fish (usually something like mackerel) that has obviously gone a little (sometimes more than a little) off. Ido does seem to be one of the better options in the West Village these days. Several of the superior spots (ie. Taka, Kirara) have closed and much of what remains is just very mediocre same old same old.

not good
i was duped by the prior solid reviews, but the food here was mediocre at best. definitely overpriced. sushi quality was awful for what you're paying. salad had watered down dressing. never will i come return.

Excellent!
I have been eating Japanese cuisine for many, many years. Ido is one of the best I've experienced. No pretense, friendly and a warm neighborhood place. Everything is fresh and various totally creative sushi offerings. An omikase menu could cost $60 per person, but worth it. Treat yourselves.

Sushi Must Do
We stubled into a little Sushi bistro in the Village while on holiday. We have traveled world wide and sincerly was the best in the states, reminded us of Japan. If you enjoy Sake the choices are quality.... Treat yourself
