    Lil' Havana in Lower Manhattan

Went here for Valentines Day with my girlfriend and was very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and quality of the food. The music was great and the mojitos were even greater. The meal was a display of perfection from begining to end. The Corquets were phenominal and the mashed casava with corizo was to die for. This place beats any latin cuisine restaurant in NYC....

    Great Mojitos!

I think I have dragged my husband to every New York bar looking for a decent Mojito, after our Carribean honeymoon. The food is average Spanish food, but their Mojito menu will keep at the bar for hours. The staff is friendly and the late night atmosphere is an alternative to the club scene. Remember, when ordering your mojito, ask for 'Grande'.

    a definite must go

I had a corporate brunch here in March 07 - have decided to keep this place on my rotation for events from now on - the entrees are satisfactory - I had the salmon, very good, the staff is friendly and we had great conversation with the manager about the art and the music in the restaurant - drinks were excellent as all the other reviews say. You MUST get the platanos and the spicy hot chocolate - in fact get all the appetizers.

    No complaints

I've had some wonderful food here - from the addictive plaintain chips and salsa to wonderful seared tuna. All the appetizers are great. I would recommend going early (before 7:30 pm) because it does get kind of loud. Great staff, good music, amazing mojitos.

    Excellent

I went here on a Saturday afternoon when it wasn't peak time. We were able to sit down right away and had a very nice lunch. The eggs benedict with chorizo and arepas are excellent. I also enjoyed the mojito. Nice festive place as well with good music.

Stop here, before trying anyone else

We just happened by here while everyone else was too busy and had too long of a wait. Man, what a find! Great spanish omelet, great plantains. The mojitos rock. A Real Find!

    Good Mojitos subpar food

I go to this place for mojitos once in a while and although the brunch is fine (hard to mess up egg omlettes), the rest of the things on the menu are not good. I should have known better because I have made the mistake twice before here but I decided on having a salad and their empanadas. I couldn't even have a second bite of the octopus salad, and the empanada was so poor I literally took out the filling and just ate the shell. Go for drinks and to chill, but I don't recommend eating here.
