Just a decent neighborhood sushi joint, with fresh fish (though nothing overly inventive, the sushi is at least not the woefully large American slabs you see in too many places) and very friendly service. The tempura, which is the only cooked dish I have had, tastes like it came from Mrs. Paul's. Delivery service is reasonably speedy, though I have never thought that sushi travels well--not that there is anything wrong with it in terms of freshness, but even from the best places it appears to lose something when it has been packed in aluminum or Styrofoam. (Actually, it may gain something: the taste of the packing material.)

used to be a trusted established but the last few orders have been bad, not to mention they can't seem to figure out where we live despite having ordered sushi more than 20 times and clarifying with them on the phone with each order. used to be a good deal, but since the food has started to decline its not worth the three extra phone calls to get it delivered to the right address.

I used to order in from Ichiro all the time, and then the food started declining. It wasn't as good as it usually was, and it just wasn't worth it for me anymore. They charge you for extras and if you want brown rice. The delivery is also below average. It's defintely dissappointing.

My wife and i recently moved from the mid-90s where we had our favorite sushi spot...so we thought. Now, ichiro is on our corner. we were at first hesistant to give it a try. We like to stay in a comfort zone with sushi. Ichiro has been tremendous everytime we go, and that is once a week. I would put the quality and freshness up there with sushi of gari.

Order delivery, came very fast. Food was average at best, not recommended.

I eat out about 4 nights a week, and have been in search of the ideal sushi place on the upper east side. The food is not too pricey, the sushi is always fresh and the waitresses are very nice and always willing to please. I have tried atleast 20+ different sushi spots in the area, and aside from the top top tier sushi places I.E. Hatsuhana, Sushi Samba etc.. I think Ichiro is at the top of all the mid tier sushi places. Everyone I bring to Ichiro says they think the food is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a low key quality sushi place.

I have ordered from there many times, and every time it gets worse. The delivery was over an hour, the soup was cold and it was poor tasting. I can't get over how they charge you extra for brown rice rolls (and anything extra-even soy they charge you more).
