The best on UES
This sushi is the freshest and best tasting sushi on the UES. I never get sushi from anywhere else.

disappointing lunch
Stopped in recently for one of their box lunch specials. The salmon tasted like it was not fresh, and the dumplings were greasy and flavorless. This was very disappointing since I'd had many good meals there over the past few years. I will not go back to Ichiro.

A regular, now disappointed
I am a regular at this restaurant for 5 years and loved it. Tonight I ordered a roll and the tuna did not taste right, no big deal it happens once in 5 years... i ordered another roll and let the waitress and manager know that something didnt taste right, a new roll came out - however when the bill came out the returned roll was on the bill, i left without commenting however Ichiro just lost a regular, why would you charge a loyal customer for a bad piece of tuna!?

Good food, good value
I have only had delivery. I find the food to be good and a fine value. Delivery is quick and can be done online. Very satisfied

Best on Upper East Side
This is my favorite spot or sushi on the upper east side period. Service, food, portions, desserts, etc. are fantastic.

Nothing Special
I just had dinner there. I thought that this must be a good Japanese restaurant since it has so many good reviews. However I was really really disappointed when I sat down at one of their outdoor table. This is another Japanese restaurant that is run by Chinese, like many other Japanese restaurants in UES! The food quality was the same as others and nothing special. This is why I don't eat Japanese food in the UES because they are not authentic! I usually eat in the east village, Saint Mark's Place or mid-town. Service was quite good though.
