    poor service

Party of 6 for dinner on a Tues. Food was very good. Service was terrible. Forgotten cocktails took 20 mins to arrive. Asked 3 times for olive juice for dirty martini that wasn't. Bread others were enjoying looked good. Asked 2 times to get some. 1 entree was missing. Arrived 15 mins after rest of order. Hostess said it was complimentary. Shocked that a party of 6 ordering 4 bottles of wine would be so neglected, we let it slide. Busboys clearing vacant table rather than ours were pointed to ours by host/hostess. Result was a full glass of wine thrown all over 1 of us. Host/hostess admitted service "sucked". Rather than take initiative/responisbility to address problem, put it back on us for what they should do. Pretty brutal considering the price. Will not return.

    Not a Winner

Very disappointing. Food was okay at best. They pushed a rabbit pasta item. The meat was chewy. Two of us had the pork entree whcih was served with a 2x6 portion of pure fat. While the garden room is nice, the food is expensive and mediocre at best. We will not be going back.

    not worth the wait

after waiting for 20+ minutes for a table which we had reservations for i had an overpriced and rather salty entree. the food, at least what i tried over their valentine's day menu - was not worth going back or recommending.

    Not a keeper

Not worth it for the price they are charging, as the food itself was pretty average. Bread was too salty, breadsticks were too salty, the appetisers and main course were too salty. It seemed like everything was just too salty. We didn't bother with the dessert menu as we were so disappointed with the meal. It was pretty easy to get a reservation on Friday night at peak hours - now we know why.

    most disappointing dining experience ever...

Hands down, this was probably the most disappointing dining experience I ever had - which is unfortunate because I have dined at i trulli before and it was enjoyable. This time, the service was poor (it took 40 minutes to get menus and water, the waiter disappeared for long stretches at a time, they brought the wrong dishes to the table and forgot others); the food was average at best (as well as cold and undercooked); and the ambiance was uncomfortable (thick smoke from the Wood Burning Oven filled the room, making it hard to breathe). When we asked to speak to the manager, he never came, later acknowledging that he "didn't get around to it." Although they tried to comp a glass of wine for us, it was too little too late. We won't ever go back.

    Painfully Poor Food

It was quite a disappointing meal. The pasta tasted like leftovers. It was smothered in olive oil to hide an otherwise completely unremarkable preparation. It tasted stale and reheated. The snapper was all skin and no fish. The duck came with a pleasant polenta, but the duck itself was overcooked (not medium rare as the waiter said they prepare it) and gristly. Dessert was better left not discussed. Plain and shockingly tasteless (as in bland rather than say pornographic) If intent on braving the mediocre food, one tip: there were two hostesses, the brunette who sat us was very pleasant. The wine was good (a Sicilian white) and the staff kept the glasses filled. Quite frankly any of the less ambitious Italians in the general area (Frankie's, Max, etc.) have significantly better food.

    What a disaapointment!

We had heard so much about this restaurant and read many positive reviews. The concierge at our hotel also recommended it. Each person in our party of 5 was incredibly disappointed with their food. The gnocci were bland. The fish was tasteless and the meat was tough. The portions were small but the prices were top dollar. I suggest going anywhere but this restaurant because "I TRULLI" think it is terribly over rated!
