(after the new management) not great!
I used to shop at Hunter deli for years. I work in the area so I loved the convenience. But in the last two years I have been totally turned away from them. They switched management and have over priced me over and over. I watched as the workers took off one slice of cheese from my sandwich after another one had placed two slices. Their skimpy food doesn't stand out from the better places to eat in this area of manhattan. I order a bacon egg and cheese one visit its around 5 dollars, the next 7 dollars. They have gotten gradually worse and worse with time. The employees bark and scream at you like they have the right to look down at you, and now that those guys got fired (go figure) the awful blasting of the radio in the morning is just what I don't want.

Best Deli
Hunter Deli is one of the best delis in Manhattan. The food is great, the workers friendly and nice and the service fast. I would definately recommend that deli to anyone on the East Side.

Above average deli
Hunter Deli serves and delivers excelellent quality food as compared to most delis. The meats and sandwiches are the best on the UES outside of Lennys.

overpriced
fast service, but way overpriced. i paid $6 for a cheese sandwich! and all of the salads are pre-made (with dressing included), so it's soggy by lunchtime.

Hunter Deli
I have lived in this area for 21 years and Hunter Deli is by far the best deli in NYC
