Mediocre but edible
I wanted generic Chinese take-out, but this was still disappointing. The vegetables were perfectly steamed, and the sauce was light -- so far so good. But the chicken was fatty and gristly, and the cashews seemed stale. Delivered promptly, but I'd rather have waited for better quality food.

Consistent
Very consistent chinese food. Great salads and other traditional dishes and special dishes. I have ordered from them for years and have never been let down.

Mediocre At Best
I've lived in the neighborhood for years. Hunan Lake just doesn't get it right. I just don't know why. I gave up on them, then gave them one more try. Same ol', same ol'. Many better in the area. Sorry!

Not worth your money
The quality is mediocre at best and the service is bordering on rude. We were there when the place was nearly empty and the waiters still acted like they had no time for us. The price is fairly decent but you can get better at the same price somewhere else.

Excellent takeout. Also great sushi
Great local takeout place. you can eat in too. It's your typical nice sit-down chinese restaurant, as opposed to the small, take-out only place.
