Everything we ordered had no flavor.

I'd tried this place once before ordering takeout hot 'n' sour soup, which was fine. That was maybe a year ago. I tend to steer clear of chinese food (and order thai or japanese or indian or malaysian or mexican, etc) because most chinese food is usually too oily and kinda tastless. But I read all the rave reviews of Hunan Delight on menupages and decided to give it a fair shake. I just ordered hunan chicken and dried sauteed string to go and am sad to say the food was too oily and kinda tasteless. Typing this is actually making my keyboard feel greasy. The food was not terrible, but with so may excellent eating options around here I won't be ordering from Hunan Delight again. Oh well.

i usually order delivery, they are so nice! the ladies on the phone are always sweet and always double-check to make sure they took down the coreect order, address etc. i have never had a problem. the food is fresh and delicious, no mystery meat here!!!! i recommend this place to all of my friends. one time my friend and dined in at almost closing and they were nice, they didn't give us a hard time at all. i don't care if they dont' have gold molding and other atmospheric amenities, they are spending their money on what counts, quality ingredients! thats what matters when you are going to eat, no? i know some of you fancy slopers think its all about the look, well we're tired of you invading our hood with your synthetic bull. get out. go to williamsburg, you'll fit in better there.

We almost always get delivery, but we've eaten there also. The service rating i gave them is based on their incredibly fast delivery, sometimes it's like they are on their way before i hang up the phone. Some vegetarian meats taste better than the real thing.

My favorite neighborhood place for veggie Chinese- love the General Tso's chicken- but man, have their prices gone up! Ordering from there is more of a treat now than a frequent thing.

Hunan Delight must change its name. To call itself Hunan Delight is an insult to Hunan culture. And there is nothing delightful about either the food or atmosphere here. I am now convinced that it impossible to get even mediocre Chinese food in Park Slope. A recent visit to Hunan Delight was bad. They recently underwent a renovation. Everything good about this place was apparently thown out. Nothing good remains. What did they do to the accoustics? Noise bounced off the walls. Babies were crying, children were running around like it was a playground conversations weren't private. It used to be calm and quiet. The food was greasy, oversalted, cold. They need to replace the food preparation staff ASAP - the word chef or cook cannot be used in describing HD. Whomever is preparing food here has a thick, tin tongue. They haven't a clue what they're doing. So disappointed.

Great delivery option. Food arrives quickly and piping hot never had a mistake. TONS of vegetarian options too.
