Best Chinese Food in Park Slope

Yummy yummy. We've been eating here for years. (OK, we don;t eat HERE, per se, we get it delivered. Yeah, the atmosphere lacks; it's a Chinese restaurant, for Pete's sake! Whatdya expect? Don;t come here for a fancy night out on the town. Come here to fill your belly in a healthy, delicious way!) Delicious fake meat treats for you vegetarians and vegans out there. The most delicious veg hot and sour soup in town is loaded with tofu and veggies. Much more personality than the average hot and sour soup. Nothing is greasy and I believe they don't use MSG. Everything is always fresh and light. Check it out.

    Good quality

Food here is of high quality--chicken is tender and all white meat, isn't greasy, and tastes good. A bit expensive though. The interior, if you ever eat inside, is much nicer than the average takeout joint.

    Just Ordered It To Go

I'd tried this place once before ordering takeout hot 'n' sour soup, which was fine. That was maybe a year ago. I tend to steer clear of chinese food (and order thai or japanese or indian or malaysian or mexican, etc) because most chinese food is usually too oily and kinda tastless. But I read all the rave reviews of Hunan Delight on menupages and decided to give it a fair shake. I just ordered hunan chicken and dried sauteed string to go and am sad to say the food was too oily and kinda tasteless. Typing this is actually making my keyboard feel greasy. The food was not terrible, but with so may excellent eating options around here I won't be ordering from Hunan Delight again. Oh well.

Fast friendly service and excellent food

i usually order delivery, they are so nice! the ladies on the phone are always sweet and always double-check to make sure they took down the coreect order, address etc. i have never had a problem. the food is fresh and delicious, no mystery meat here!!!! i recommend this place to all of my friends. one time my friend and dined in at almost closing and they were nice, they didn't give us a hard time at all. i don't care if they dont' have gold molding and other atmospheric amenities, they are spending their money on what counts, quality ingredients! thats what matters when you are going to eat, no? i know some of you fancy slopers think its all about the look, well we're tired of you invading our hood with your synthetic bull. get out. go to williamsburg, you'll fit in better there.

    Best Chinese in the city

We almost always get delivery, but we've eaten there also. The service rating i gave them is based on their incredibly fast delivery, sometimes it's like they are on their way before i hang up the phone. Some vegetarian meats taste better than the real thing.

    great veggie options

My favorite neighborhood place for veggie Chinese- love the General Tso's chicken- but man, have their prices gone up! Ordering from there is more of a treat now than a frequent thing.
