Best Chinese food in Brooklyn
I had almost given up on eating Chinese food until I stumbled upon this place, my "only" place in Brooklyn where I go now. Especially like the sesame chicken...

Surprised and delighted
Ever since the original Red Hot closed, I haven't been satisfied any of the chinese around here - especially the vegetarian dishes. I had tried Hunan Delight once before but I must have ordered something unmemorable because last night we ordered it and it was great (for american chinese food). Super fast delivery. Food was hot. Food was delicious. Tofu in hot pepper sauce - wow. Even the Broccoli in garlic sauce was great. Best in the slope.

Best in the Slope
Okay so the best chinese food I've EVER had (aside the genuine cuisine I've enjoyed in Hawaii) is in my hometown of Marietta, GA, Empress of China to be exact, absolutely scrumptious. I've yet to find anything better in Brooklyn, but Hunan Delight is pretty good. It's better than the other Chinese options in BK and since the renovation, it's actually not a bad place to sit and eat, especially on a nice summer day (although I typically get delivery). They have a wide variety of options, veggie, healthy, yummy and otherwise and their prices are reasonable. Perfect on a rainy night when you want to stay in and watch a movie!

good chow, surly service
i needed to find a new place. the new 'red hot' on 7th ave. was not cutting it with me (despite decent reviews on this site). so, i tried hunan d. and was really please with the food and the value. best in slope? i don't think the slope has a truly special chinese restaurant but this place, at least food wise, is as good as have found. i've only order t-o delivery from them so i have nothing to offer on the dining in experience. but i have to weigh in on how singularly unpleasant the order taker is (at least on the nights i call). she radiates disdain. (am i paranoid?) and the delivery guy i seem to get looks like he'd rather be anywhere but at my door. ok, it's a crap job but i always tip well. why the attitude? in the end, i'll probably put up with what i perceive as 'tude' to get decent food but if/when we finally get a truly high end chinese restaurant in the slope, i'll be saying goodbye to hunan delight.

Best General Tso's shrimp
I order delivery from this place often. Their General Tso's shrimp has become something of an addiction. They also have great sesame noodles and green curry.

A vegetarian delight
Just simply the best vegetarian chinese fake chicken, beef, duck options in the city. Though we live in Williamsburg, we make the trip down for hunan a few times a year. The general Cho's "chicken" is the best!
