The food is stil probably the best Chinese on the UES and of very good value. If you call for delivery, it arrives promptly (even in the snow!) and hot.

This place is a definite fav of mine in nyc. Its not fancy, but it's no average takeout place whatsoever. The ingredients are of a high quality and the food is always prepared properly. Although I mainly get delivery from here, eating in is also satisfactory. The service is speedy and the waitress who served me was kind and respectful. I've eaten a variety of dishes here and have not been disappointed. Although they serve sushi, I am more inclined to order chinese here, their specialty. I love their chicken and broccoli as well as their tasty wonton soup. I would definitely return and would recommend others to enjoy their casual and clean restaurant!

Hunan delight, oh what a night. I had been searcing for months to replace my old go to chinese restaurant Shanghai Pavillion. After this establishment was shut down (temporarily) by the NYS Health Department I set out in search of a replacement. I searched "best chinese place on UES" and Hunan came up in the top five. After reading the rave reviews on yelp I gave it a shot. Ladies and gentlemen of NYC, I have found my new chinese place. The restaurant inside was very clean. The food was fast. THEY GIVE YOU A FREE BOTTLE OF WINE W DINNER. Can you beat that? Egg roll, general tso, vegetable fried rice, hit the spot. I have to say the sweet n sour chicken I probably wouldn't get again -only because it was breaded not fried. Please people, give the Hunans a chance and they will prove themselves to you.

This is another in a long line of solid Chinese places on the UES. It's pretty standard stuff, but they claim to have the best brown rice of any Chinese place in the city, and after tasting it, they may be right. It's sort of a blend of different kinds of brown rice, with some being darker and denser as well as some being lighter. I have to say it was pretty damn good, but if you're not a brown rice fan, you will just think it's heavy duty health food-type rice and may want to pass. If you are a fan, you should try it. I've never eaten in, but the place has a very nice style to it and the owners are always nice and helpful. Recommended.

I have ordered from this place for about 2 years now. Each time it has been perfect! Fast delivery and the food quality was always excellent! The last 2 times something has gone very wrong. First time I got the wrong order, and the second time the food I normally orderd came to me so different without any veggies in the dish and the tofu which is normally great, did not look appetizing and was unedable!! I am soooo dissapointed and will not be ordering from them again. We did have a great run!

You get a lot of vegetables and not too much beef. You also get an unfriendly vibe from the waitstaff. Pretty pricey. Can't think of any pros...
