    renovated and lovely now!

I wanted to be the first one to get a review in. We noticed Hunan Delight renovating a little while ago and they just opened their doors for dining in again today. It is really transformed - very chill, nice, light ambiance - clean and new. feels like a whole new restaurant. the food is just as delicious as ever, the waitstaff is helpful and fast. i'm so glad my favorite takeout place is now one of my favorite restaurants :)

    Best in the city

Best Chinese food in the city. Better than Wo-hop in Chinatown.

    Great UES Chinese

Hunan Delight has reliable fantastic food. The Sesame Chicken is prepared a bit different than most restaurants, but is a personal favorite.

    Above Average Chinese

Hunan Delight serves delicious, fresh, and satisfying cuisine. For me, one of the mark's of a good Chinese restaurant is how good their lo mein is, and Hunan Delight's is excellent. Also good is their shredded pork with garlic, roasted chicken, duck or pork over rice, and a variety of other Chinese classics. Their wonton soup is passable at best, though - I like my wontons to have a bit of firmness and these were simply too wimpy. But that's a small criticism of an otherwise reliable asset to the Upper East Side's Chinese food scene,
