Great lunch value and they run it until 5:00. They also accommodate requests for no onions or extra sauces, etc. fast delivery.

Not gourmet Chinese (but there are only a few) but this is a solid reliable place especially for takeout. No surprises and they use the extra touch.

I read the reviews and believed them but was wrong. Food very average with overwhelming sodium. The dishes are drown in gluey sauce. Vegetables are limp. Noodles are excessively spicey. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Don't listen to ANY negative review of this place... I live in the neighborhood, and have eaten here a dozen times... it's EXCELLENT. - You can tell a good Chinese restaurant by the basics, and this restaurant's soups, cold sesame noodle (the BEST), and basic chicken dishes are always fresh and delicious. This is an EXCELLENT Chinese restaurant.

Ordered orange beef ($13.95) which was among best we’ve ever had. Amazingly crispy, pure light (not cloying, not drippy) burned on orange glaze, pretty presentation, tender fresh beef and good sized portion. Note brown rice is 50 cents extra but it is not your usual brown rice; we weren’t asked if we wanted tea. Also ordered salt n pepper squid ($13.95) which was probably the best we’ve ever had. Lightly fried, super crispy, no loose breading, very tasty, fresh and snappy squid, broccoli and carrot florid presentation, fair sized portion—only thing that kept it from being best ever was it being way too salty—yes, even for salt n pepper squid. Added lunch special ($6.95 and served til 5 pm!) of broccoli in garlic sauce which turned into eggplant; since we love eggplant we ate the mistake that was graciously acknowledged. It was OK—less greasy than most, but also not as tasty as most versions. Fresh eggplant, enough of it. Came with rice, spring or egg roll (OK spring roll) and choice of soup or soda. Hot n sour soup was excellent. Freshly made, nice brown color (not dark nor too light brown—this is not being too picky, A light color suggests the “chef” simply added excess water to make more soup—it shows up in the texture and taste. A dark color might mean less expert chef mixing in too much stock and/or soy sauce ), not watery, not gloppy. Not too spicy. Flavoring was just right and texture was smooth due to proper proportion of corn starch and water and stock—see if you can find all these elements this In your quickie take out joint’s version. We ditched the not so fresh chow mein noodles (and duck sauce) laid out at the outset, and even if fresh, adding them would’ve spoiled a well prepared soup. Tables set apart so roomy enough; but not conducive for large parties (we experienced this previously, being seated next to a large party.) Terrific service—water constantly refilled (over 5 times) and we were always asked if we needed anything. More than worth the $45 with tax, tip and doggie bag. Must try other dishes.

I live on E.77th and York Ave. I would Order from here all the time in the past. The Food used to be delicious, I guess this place was sold off or they switched chefs because the food was just awful! The only good thing I had was the crab rangoon which was surprisingly good compared to the rest of the meal. We ordered an egg roll which was stale tasting. Chow fun was mediocre at best with little flavor. For our last dish we ordered a make, your own bowl with chicken, eggplant, snow peas, and. String beans with garlic sauce. The chicken was plane tasting boiled and flavorless, the eggplant was recognizable by its barely purple color, it too was flavorless, snow peas ok and string beans flavorless. Would definitely not order from here again. Sorry but this place has changed for the worse.

The best Jerry-the best! We've never been there so I cannot comment on the atmosphere but the phone service is always pleasant and delivery is lickety split Get the chicken with mixed veggies and brown rice along with steamed veggie dumplings with a side of peanut sauce and you will not be disappointed.
