I live just blocks away from this restaurant and I enjoy it regularly. Once I was sick for three days and I had them send me enough soup (hot & sour, and the one that involves spinach) to get me through. I also really like the Chinatown Tofu and the healthy steamed dishes. Who knew bok choy could taste so good? I would not, however, recommend the egg rolls.

Moved from Columbia area to Washington/Hudson Heights. Ordering usually takes an hour (not so great), they charge $1 (fair enough), and the delivery guys always act disappointed in the tip even though I'm generous (very). Nevertheless, they get my business, hands down.

I like Hunan Balcony. The food is great. The people are nice. It usually isn't too crowded. They delivery quickly. When I eat Chinese food, I get it from Hunan Balcony

I travel all of the way from the Bronx just for the sushi rolls. I ate there Sunday (1/4/04) and had the "Happy Family" -shrimp, lobster, scallops, flank steak with vegetables in a brown sauce-DELICIOUS!!!! I am on my way right now for some sushi rolls-California, Alaskan and Spicy Tekka-YUM YUM!! The sushi specials can't be beat and the food is fresh. The drinks from the bar are also very good.

Hunan Balcony is great. Fantastic food, they even have a couple great sushi chefs. Try the scallops in garlic sauce, the roast peking duck, the general tso's shrimp, or anything else you usually like from a chinese restaurant. Also as for sushi, the house special roll is great. (salmon, shrimp, eel).
