Good and affordable food. The waitress was inattentive. She only came over to get our order and pick up our checks. She lacks customer service!

I went for a 6 o clock dinner with my wife, baby son, mother, and cousin and from the moment I sat down, was treated with utter disrespect from the owner/ manager. Though we basically doubled the occupancy of the restaurant, the waitress (who it may have been her first day, so I can't criticize) took 10 minutes to attend to us. While holding our baby we asked for a high chair 3 times. We finally got it, and I will be the first to admit, our baby was cranky, and making a lot of noise. We turned to the waitress and asked if we could get some pita for the baby. She said sure, and dissapeared. When she came back, we asked again. She went to the back and told her boss that we wanted bread. He replied, "They can wait. They're in a restaurant." Wow. My whole family was shocked. HE finally walked by our table and plopped 2 pieces of bread down (for 5 people). The table of two next to us, who had arrived after us, had 6 pieces of bread. We then received the 4 appetizers we ordered (still with only 2 pieces of pita bread). After sitting, waiting for our entrees for 15 minutes, the manager walked by our table and asked "is that all?" We turned to him and said "we're actually waiting for 4 entrees." Suddenly, everything changed. He himself walked up to us and gave us more bread. He asked if we wanted a side of tehine. We recieved glasses of water and NAPKINS AND FORKS for the first time of the night. The food at Hummus Place is good for what it is. It's hummus, and shakshuka, and little else, but the price is right. But it is absolutely never worth it to go anywhere, where management treats you like garbage. There are thousands of restaurants in the city, and the manager has guaranteed that I will never go to this restaurant ever again. For those who understand, the following two words show my feelings- chillul hashem!

Food was cold when it got here,which took way to long. I think it is better to eat there.

The phone service is appalling! Twice our order was delivered incorrectly and when we called to receive our missing items they were very rude and it took close to an hour to receive the missing items. Our friends were visiting from out of town and went to the restaurant to pick up their order which was for two containers of hummus. When they got home from their 4 hour drive they had one container of hummus and one container of chick peas. The service is unbelievably rude which is so disappointing because their food is so tasty.

This was the first time I've eaten here but I was very impressed. At lunch, for $8 you get an appetizer and an entree. I got the roasted eggplant and then the vegetarian couscous. Both were excellent (although I found the hummus, while fresh, a little bland). My companion ordered the Labenah and the hummus with mushrooms. The Lebanah was quite good. Again, the hummus on the hummus with mushrooms platter was a bit bland. However, I added the hot sauce they gave me and then liked it quite a bit. I'll definitely be back.

dig this place. dig the food. dig the people that work there. dig the atmosphere.

Prices are deceiving. They seem reasonable until you see the portion sizes...what a joke! Whatever you think you need, double it. The falafel taste decent but I have never seen such a small order.
