bad delivery
cold falafels are not good! delivery takes over an hour and leaves you with horrible falafal and not so great soup.

unreal...
I have never had such a bad delivery experience in my life! the cashier/waitress cannot seem to take a delivery order. she called back 3 times and still got my order wrong and overcharged me. and it took an hour and a half. i never thought i'd say this, but i will not recommend this restaurant to anyone again.

Sweetest waitress, yummy food!
After going to the UWS location, I decided to go to the MacD spot with the boyfriend, which is definitely smaller, and has one of those horrid NYC restaurant layouts... You know, where you're practically sitting on the lap of the stranger next to you. Aside from that, there are a few differences between the two locations. First, at this one, they cannot deep fry or bake, so they don't have the homemade pita OR falafel, which sucks. The brought-in pita is fairly standard though, nothing awful. (If you like pita in general, you won't be bothered.) The no falafel thing is the unfortunate part, because Hummus Place makes really good falafel balls! The hummus and health salad were out of this world, as always. The waitress, who was the only one in the busy establishment, was SOOOOOOOOO sweet and nice, I can't even tell you! She was outstanding, especially considering how hot it was that day. Our food was delicious and we would definitely go back if we were hungry in the neighborhood. We still like the other Amsterdam location best, but the hummus at both still is the best we've ever had in NYC, hands-down.

Best hummus
I absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic, in particular the Hummus Masbacha. Wish I lived closer, so I could go more often.

Holistic Hummus
Just got takeour hummus fava today and I was pleasantly surprised by the tremendous amount of creamy chickpea dip, stewed fava beans, and hard-boiled eggs I was given; it was delicious! I love spicy food, and the onions, hot sauce, and spices all lended their strengths to what I believe was a fabulous, protein-riddled meal. I may indeed return for their other hummus varieties when I'm in need of a good lunch or dinner fix. Furthermore, service is quick, efficient, and from what I saw, kind; a major plus!

Great except for the store-bought pita
The food here is excellent, for a place with such a limited menu. The various hummus dishes and shakshouka keep me coming back, and the iced tea is wonderful. But if I could offer a suggestion it would be to ditch the store-bought pita for fresh pita. It's the only thing that diminishes the otherwise authentic middle-eastern experience.

Good food!
Like most of reviews, I think it is the best in all over. Freshness, price and most of all the taste! I have been to this place several time since I found out last week but this time I got delivery to see how they do. It took 30 minutes (I live few blocks) and it came and was cared wrapped delivery. We got 2 specials from each. I never had Shkshuka (Medi tomato and veggie stew with 2 eggs.) Oh! My gosh! It was so tasty. I wondered how the eggs will be used or place. It was cooked in side the stew right before they deliver..?? I think? First bit was a dream. For other special, we got Hummus Foul. The Hummus is not to miss at this place! Good food is better than sex and this was the one of experiences without spending much.
