good food, poor service
Had the hummus sampler platter and a delicious anise/mint-flavored drink -- both very good! Service is poor -- had to basically beg for water and the check, and the small tables make sharing off many plates very difficult. Nevertheless, this is a cozy spot with authentic decor and good food for the price range.

Hummus like in Heaven
Oriental decorated, nice little restaurant with excellent hummus and a rich selection. Nice Service and fair prices. Best background music in town. Always worth à visit.

Don't even bother!
As soon as I sat down I had a feeling the service was going to be bad. We were there for awhile before anyone even coming up to us. The waitress was horribly rude-and out of it. The food was not good- bland, and portions VERY small. And since when do you pay for pita at a hummus place? what a joke. I asked for water three times, and never got it. When the bill came, I had to bring it to them because they never picked it up. When the waitress didn't give me the correct change, and I approached her- the response was "I rounded up, it's all good" um.. rounded up? in the restaurant's favor? I don't think so. Highly unprofessional. I will NEVER go back. You shouldn't bother either.

Cute place, bland food, so so service
My gf and I tried this place a few nights ago since it looked very cute...the food however was very bland and nothing special. The waitress wasn't very pleasant. All in all the place is very so so. Sure it looks cute and has reasonable prices but there are better deals elsewhere....a so so experience...

Great Place
I'm generally not a fan of falafel b/c I just haven't had any that great until now. My friend convinced me to try it at Hummus Kitchen and wow, best falafel ever. We also got mushroom hummus, shakshuka, super-healthy salad, and baklava. Everything was delicious. This is my new favorite casual healthy place!

Its not even close. The hummus and shakshuka here are the best in the city no comparison.

This is it
I visited this restaurant in late April 2009 = it was wonderful. Outstanding food, very nice service. I look forward to visiting New York and this restaurant again.
