Hudson Yards Cafe

I'm heading there again tonight. Love the staff. Love the food. Love the atmosphere and the people. You can't beat a place where when you arrive the bartender introduces you to everyone else at the bar! You've got to try the tidbits and the shrimp. Some things have been taken off of the menu but the new items are just as appetizing. Oh, and did I say great music too! Especially when staff and/or guests sing along. And if you just want a drink...this place is perfect.

The menu had a really innaccurate description of what was actually served. I thought I was ordering a spicy southwest chicken dish, and instead I got chicken drowned in a heavy cream sauce. Unappetizing. I told the waitress it wasn't what I expected, and she said "oh" and walked away. Never offered to fix it, nothing. She actually spent most of the night studying flash cards instead and barely paid attention to us, even though the place was practically empty. Bad service, gross food that wasn't even good quality. Would never go there again.

I LOVE the Hudson Yards. Any place that makes a veggie burger delicious gets my vote. The atmosphere is great, the bartender might be the best around, and if you don't like the music, just stick a dollar in the jukebox and pick your own. Who can argue with that. Good food, good value, good people, great drinks.

Hudson Yards is the best of many worlds Irish pub, European bistro and your personal own "Cheers." The menu balances traditional burger fare with dishes like grilled wasabe tuna steak, tequila chicken quesidilla and lobster ravioli. You can get fried calamari for an appettitizer or opt for steak tidbits or chorizo & shrimp. Service is always great.

As there are very few decent places to eat lunch around Javitsville, Hudson Yards stands out as a really promising option. Unfortunately it seems to be an illusion. I just spent 55 minutes of my lunch hour waiting for food that never arrived. Before I left, the waitress said she had no idea how much longer the wait would be and offered to deliver the food to my office. Besides being incredibly hungry and not sure how much longer I could go without food, eating mussels in a cubicle that I share with others isn't really an option so I said I would have to leave and buy a sandwich at the local deli. I was very polite, but received no offer of any future discount or incentive to return - just a deer in the headlights look. Hopefully they can get themselves together soon...

Great food, Awesome staff and good company. who could ask for more!

When you call to order your food, they tell you that you have to call back. They never explain if they are busy or crowded, they just say "CALL BACK" and hang up the phone.
