This place has been a favorite of mine for years. However I recently ordered steak that was so tough/chewy and grisly. I finally sent it back and was disappointed that no adjustment was made on our bill. Normally the food is very good here. I would not order any steak in this restaurant.

I live in Murray Hill and eat out A LOT--and Hudson is my go-to place. Diverse menu has something for everyone--from great burgers to pasta to pizza to rack of lamb or lobster cobb salad or one of 4 special fish of the day. Can't beat the price, the great service, nice atmosphere--this place is the treasure of the neighborhood. Not sure why the reviews here are so harsh--I am a tough critic and I eat here at all the time--have for many years--and it is pretty constant. Highly recommend it. Also decent wines by the glass and nice big bar good for a pre-dinner drink a casual meal.

This is our first trip to NYC and we found this restaurant on a walk to find somewhere for dinner.. It was a little dark and a little cold, the staff were friendly and the food was AMAZING! I had the cheese pizza which was yum, my dad had the angus steak with fries (they were beautiful) and veggies which he LOVED and mum had the spinach tortellini which was delish! It wasn't expensive and the bread we had before our mains was beautiful as well!

Though the waitress was friendly, it took 20 mins for her to come over and she did not even know she was our server. The service is beyond slow, food took way to long to come out and was basically inedible. I took my leftovers and I would not be surprised if the homeless man I give it to turns it away.

Party of 7 for dinner on Sunday night. Busboy spills water over two guests. Manager takes a 'peek' to see what happens. NO ONE comes to help the busboy wipe up two glasses worth of water. Not the manager or the waitress. Food is brought out and given to wrong people. No one sees if the food is OK. No one comes to fill water glasses. No service. Will not return. 18% gratuity added for parties of 6 or more.

Hudson Place is a gem of a restaurant. Living in Murray Hill it's my top "go to" place when I'm in the mood for a great meal & dining experience. I forget the name of the manager but it's a lady with blond hair who's always extremely gracious. The menu is great. Tasty, satisfying dishes with fresh ingredients served with a sophisticated & yet home made style. I can't say enough good things about Hudson Place, I feel fortunate to have it in my neighborhood.

I was apprehensive this restaurant after reading the reviews, but everything was GREAT! The place is very classy and the bathrooms were extremely clean. I go the Crab Lump Eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint. My dad and brother got the Danish Pancakes (Which were regular pancakes) and they were good. My mom's steak was very tasty though it was a tad undercooked. The service was excellent. I couldn't complain. If you're looking to take friends out to enjoy breakfast in the city, don't hesitate to come here. It's great and the price was very inexpensive (6 people - 6 meals, 1 coffee = $73 - including tax and 18% tip.)
