My steak was utterly flavorless and cost me $30.95. Probably the worst I've ever had. They probably got it from Dagastinos next door. The side veggie was cut up corn on the cob. My seltzer with some cranberry juice was $4.50. I could barely understand the waiter when he spoke about the specials. Will never return. Go anywhere else.

Food mediocre, service painfully slow

This place is great! I have been here 5-6 times in the last few months. I love the atmosphere - it has brick and wood, a fireplace, and some nice NYC maps and art on the walls. It's cozy! And I like the food even better! They do everything I have tried well! The soup is diverse and delicious, the pizza I got (San Genaro) was SO good and the crust was chewy and warm, and don't even ask me about how good a deal the seafood is. It's fresh, and I had a lobster club sandwich I crave now! And the seafood Caesar is unreal. And not to expensive! I love it. Can't wait to go back. Only nit pick is they play lame muzak at the otherwise charming bar.

I have been very sad to see what has happened to this restaurant over the last 2 years. I liked it so much before that I wrote it in for Zagat. However, I will not be back; I have given up. There have been too many incidents of poorly cooked food, indifferent service and a surly manager who refuses to make adjustments! I know business is tough but really...

This place has been a favorite of mine for years. However I recently ordered steak that was so tough/chewy and grisly. I finally sent it back and was disappointed that no adjustment was made on our bill. Normally the food is very good here. I would not order any steak in this restaurant.

I live in Murray Hill and eat out A LOT--and Hudson is my go-to place. Diverse menu has something for everyone--from great burgers to pasta to pizza to rack of lamb or lobster cobb salad or one of 4 special fish of the day. Can't beat the price, the great service, nice atmosphere--this place is the treasure of the neighborhood. Not sure why the reviews here are so harsh--I am a tough critic and I eat here at all the time--have for many years--and it is pretty constant. Highly recommend it. Also decent wines by the glass and nice big bar good for a pre-dinner drink a casual meal.

This is our first trip to NYC and we found this restaurant on a walk to find somewhere for dinner.. It was a little dark and a little cold, the staff were friendly and the food was AMAZING! I had the cheese pizza which was yum, my dad had the angus steak with fries (they were beautiful) and veggies which he LOVED and mum had the spinach tortellini which was delish! It wasn't expensive and the bread we had before our mains was beautiful as well!
