Hudson Eatery

I don't understand the poor reviews of this place. My family regularly eats-in and orders delivery and we are never disappointed. The chicken parm is delicious! The brunch egg dishes are always awesome... and it's so nice to be able to spread out a little bit in those comfortable booths. We love it here!

This is my first menupages review. I usually don't do this, but my experience here has been so disappointing. I was inspired to share. I live in the building above this restaurant and keep giving them a second chance...but am disappointed every time! The food is so so. Some of my friends in the building have food allergies and we make a special requests...and without fail, they forget each time and add the ingredient. The staff seems very "blah" about being there. Also the tv screens don't help, as some of the waiters are more interested in the game than serving the patrons. It is really frustrating as the atmosphere is great, it is very spacious, and the location is very convenient for the residents of the building. It is rather sad to see that this restaurant has such great potential...unfortunately, nothing is being done about its short comings. It is a running joking among the residents in the building above that this is place has the slowest and unmotivated service in the city. Hopefully this will all change some day...

When you're on a budget this is the place to go to! The food is great service is slow but still worth it. They use to have these amazing french fries which all my coworkers and I loved now they downgraded to cheap french fries that are so OILY! Other than that its a great place!

Seemed like a good place to go when you can't agree with others about what to eat (in that Cheesecake Factory kind of way). The service was reasonable, although the host seemed like she could care less about being there. The decor was hideous, but I usually don't care about that either. What I do care about is the food. My grilled tuna sandwich was pretty poor (seemed like the flash frozen tuna you get at trader joes, only worse), but next to my wife's inedible RubberMade turkey burger (which did not have a toasted bun even though we requested it), it was a 5 star meal. We had to send it back because it just couldn't be eaten (I took a bite, which basically snapped off from the rest of the sandwich, and had to spit it out). I feel bad writing about it because they did credit the bill for the burger, but still, I wouldn't want people to have to go to a restaurant where the food was this poor. Better places on 9th and 10th aves. Don't waste your time here.

All around an ok restaurant, nothing to write home about. Average is the best way to describe this restaurant.

My husband and I love this place! The food is consistently great and it is extremely child friendly! We can't understand why more people don't go there...!

Although the service is slow sometimes, the staff are always super nice. They were really cool about me returning a salad and getting a grilled cheese and soup. I was disappointed to learn the the grilled cheese is made with American cheese. This is actually not really cheese but a cheese product. The tomato soup is not that great either. With so many disappointments in one day, I won't be coming back here in a while, even though the staff are really cool!
