we went to this diner last week 26.4.13 and thought the food and service were very good, the waitress that served us was amazing, she was buzzing about doing 5 jobs at once, yet we'd go back if were ever lucky enough to go back to NYC.

when I eat here, it was the biggest mistake I ever made. The food was so horrible, I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes . Holley shit..the meat it self had a past like consistency as if it was squeezed out of a tube then placed on the grill to cook. The mashed potatoes I thought was mashes up with what ever oil they used to grill the meatloaf with .It had a grilled like, burned, oily taste to it. My vegetable of choice were the green peas, I almost chipped a tooth biting down on them, I don't think the peas were ever cooked . And now the price...15$ for all of that food...I will never and I mean Never go back there.

I have lived in the same building my entire life, and I am a regular at HD. The staff is kind and helpful, and the food helps comfort after even the roughest of days. In fact I'm just heading out there now!

I used to love this is a breakfast and lunch spot from time to time. However, they've recently raised prices and begun using lower quality ingredients. There are better and cheaper options in the area. Sad to see a once good spot lose its way. 2/5 overall. :(

We tried this place for the first time last week after passing by on numerous occassions and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the place could not have been friendlier, making some room for our stroller even though it was somewhat crowded. While slightly pricier than some of the other diners in the area, I thought it was well worth the extra few dollars and I definitely plan to go back soon.

In my opinion Hudson Diner is perhaps the nicest diner in New York City. It's a very heartwarming place, really! The food is delicious (I'd especially recommend the lox bagel or the egg salad sandwich which was just heavenly!), the service is wonderful and homely (the owner lady is such a nice person) and overall visiting Hudson Diner is a great experience. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in NYC!
