Best veggie burger I've ever had

I'm vegetarian, so I've never tasted the meat or fish here, but every vegetarian thing I've had here has been excellent, like the beans and rice (you'd never imagine this side dish could be so good). But the best is the veggie burger - out of this world. I order the Grilled Chicken Salad (one of the best salads I've ever had) with veggie burger instead of the chicken, and it's AWESOME. Service, by the way, is consistently excellent, too.

    Houston's re-vamped

Better than it used to be. Excellent experience. Really a nice place. Service can get tangled in the restaurant's "system" occasionally, but overall runs smooth. Spinach dip, vegetable roll, cheese bread, side salad, baked potatoes, ribs, dessert not to be overlooked. So good. Give it a shot. Come early. You'll be glad you did.

    Almost perfect

The food keeps bringing me back but the service at the bar, even when slow, is always a bit off from what you expect to when paying $16-18 for a sandwich. Salads come after main meal? I once went to the restroom and the bartenders scavenged my Sunday NY Times and threw the rest in the garbage. They thought I had left. When I returned, they pulled it from the garbage and replaced the sections that they had wanted and gave it back to me.

    The Best!

Honestly the best! Great dip, ribs, chicken, burgers (veggie and regular) -- don't hesitate to dine here. You won't regret it -- the only minus can be a long wait but have a drink at the bar and chill.

Is this a five star restaurant?

I don't think so...I dined here and was disappointed. I ordered the recently added Sushi but they had no chop sticks. I can live with not eating with chop sticks but my date ordered a well done steak and you could squeeze the blood from the meat! To make matters worse...a week later they charged my credit card again. When I called and spoke with a manager he told me not to worry...credit cards are swiped more then once and "this happens all the time." I guess the best part of this experience was making reservations.

    Good Place...Great Ambiance!

I had a very nice time at Houstons! While the jazz band playing was a good touch; It was actually a good bargain. We had the daily special, a NY strip (giant) w/ a baked potato included. Good special considering the menu is a-la-carte. The garden salad is wonderful. What is really nice is that when we ordered an espresso it was a double and only $1.00. Crazy? No...JUST! After being accustumed to paying the outragous $4.50 for espressos at other restaurants, it was nice to feel appreciated by the java Gods!
