    Good, solid place

This is a very solid place to eat. The prices are reasonable and I love the dark atmosphere, open kitchen and nice bar. Spinach dip is very good and I really enjoy the ribs. Definitely worth trying it once.

    Cold sandwich

Sunday I went there for brunch. At 1PM the place is soo dark you can hardly read the menu, which is a good thing because the selection is scary, there is sandwiches, burgers and salads... and spinach dip. So I ordered a chicken club and my friend got a burger. Promptly we were given our dipping sauces and then forgotten about. Once, she came over and asked "Is everythign all right?", which replied, we're just waiting for our food. That was the last time we saw our waitress. 35 minutes after ordering, we asked another waitress if our food was ready and she thought we had eaten and were just waiting for our checks. the manager came over and another waitress and told us that they had lost our ticket. Starving, we asked if we could have fries while they now cook our food. Cold fries arrived. When our sandwhiches did come, the burger was good and the fries with that were hot but the chicken club was ICE COLD. The waitress said thats how they serve it. Ice cold grilled chicken with two slices of ice cold cheese and a slice of cold ham and bacon and hot toast... Hmmm... Def not good. I didnt even eat two bites. Good thing the manager had agreed to pick up our bill because i spent my $ on more decent food at a street fair.

    Great Soup

I liked the red bean soup, but it is only available on Monday. I guess I will have to go back on Monday.

    Great Place, Food & Service

I simply love this place . I go there every week, which given the humongous choice of restaurants in Manhattan is impressive. There is nothing I am not delighted with- the food is great - the spinach dip is delicious, the smoked salmon (@54st) is tender and flovorful, but best of all is the veggie burger. I have never tried anything that disappointed me. The service is always impeccable - fast, accurate, cordial. I also like the athmosphere, the dimmed light is relaxing and makes you feel isolated form the crowd and noise. I am not a fan of chain restaurants but Houston's is definitely an exception and one of my favorite places.

    Best spinach dip ever!

Houstons has to be one of the best restaurants in the city. The wait staff is extremely professional - they don't rush you through your meal and they are very attentive. They also have the best spinach dip ever and their veggie burgers are amazing. Whatever your desire, you can't get a bad meal!

    Best Veggie Burger

This Houstons has a GREAT atmosphere. There is usually a wait but it really is worth it--the food is always very good. The spinch dip is the fabulous and the Veggie Burger might be the best in the city!

    One of my favorites

I originally discovered this place in Atlanta and fell in love with the service, the apple cobbler dessert, and the VEGGIE BURGER! The food is fabulous and the atmosphere is charming. Now that I live in NY, the only difference is the that the lemonade up here isn't nearly as good, but otherwise it's still one of my favorite spots. Everyone I bring here loves it. Oh, and the spinach dip is amazing!
