    Consistently excellent

Been to Houston's dozens of times over the past 10 years - and we've always received what we've come to expect: Consistently excellent food, accompanied by equally good service. Best burger ANYWHERE, BTW, to go with very good meats and a divine spinach dip. Only gripe I have is the price of alcoholic beverages, which is unreasonably steep. Show up early to avoid the long wait - that is still very worth it!

    Best Ribs in the City

I have been to Houstons about 20 times. All 20 times I have ordered the spinich dip, and the ribs. They are both fantastic. The ribs are "fall off the bone" with really good flavor (puts Bluesmoke to shame). If you are looking for a few beers and some ribs, this place will satisfy your craving.

    Fast Food Quality

I recently visited Houstons in NYC. It is now Hillstone. Great atmosphere, but the food is so boring and poorly prepared. We ordered chicken that looked like someone dumped a can of beans on it. My daughter,s salad had a small piece of chewy tuna and the lettuce looked as if it came right out of a bag. I will sit st the bar and enjoy the atmosphere - but eat before you get there. Not worth the price tag

Best American Casual Dining in town

Houston's is absolutely one of the best American restaurants in New York. The chicken finger platter that is not on the menu is amazing. I have been going to Houston's restaurants for over 10 years in FL, GA, CA, NY, NJ, etc. The Midtown East one is for sure my favorite. I have never had any problems at this or any Houston's ever.

    A-1...atmosphere too!

Food is good, basic, and unpretentious. I really love the decor and atmosphere...there's always a great jazz trio playing and jazzing up the bar scene! I think it's great for a first date...not too expensive, but has a sophisticated feel....plus everything is good...from the french dip sandwich to the hamburger to the thai tuna salad.
