You are losing so much money by not delivering
This place is very good. The only reason I dont say great is because every time I go, the wait staff is not very attentive. I don't understand why they dont deliver. Food is very good

overpriced
started at the bar, ordered a grey goose on the rocks....came 1/2 way up in the glass, $14....3 sips...ordered a burger, came ice cold, sent it back, new one showed up 20 minutes later, ice cold....ribs were also cold...waitress came over 25 times smiling like nothing was amiss...overpriced garbage. go to the smith 3 blocks away, better, cheaper.

Good but 45 minute wait every night
I live in neighborhood and have Tried to go many times but eaten few. I walk in- take a few steps down toward restaurant.. Laugh and walk back up/out. Food is all-around good but you CANNOT get a table in less than 45 minutes and you cannot even get a Bar seat for likely 20-30 minutes. So avoid weeknights unless your prepared to stand and drink for 30 minutes+. Go off hours or do not go. You're warned.

Wildly popular equals long waits.
The place is always packed because of it's consistently good food at reasonable prices for Manhattan. We have given up trying to go on weekdays or Friday/Saturday nights. We sneak in usually on Sunday nights when you can get a seat or maybe even a table. Other times the wait is ridiculous. They don't take reservations. The Filet Mignon is the best value in Manhattan. Love their wine list.

Not recommended
I cannot tell you how disappointed I was in my meal at hillstones. My friend and I have been dining there for years and always get the veggie burger, which up to now has been superb. The veggie burger used to have an amazing glaze and lots of beets, now it is all beans and the glaze is boring at best. The eggless ceasar salad tasted like nothing, unless you put a huge helping of salt on it. In addiiton, the sides were favorless and the soda was flat. This place has gone way down hill since it changed from Houston's (yum) to Hillstone (yuck). I am not sure if we will ever go back.

Houston's is BYOB!
I love Houston's and have eaten there many times. I was super surprised to find out that Houston's is BYOB!! I think that they try to hide this fact!! The drinks here are always the expensive part of my bill, well not anymore. So for all of you who love Houston's but hate that your drinks costs a lot, bring your own!! Welcome to their hidden secret! ENJOY
