I love the food here but their delivery is pretty poor. The last three times I got delivery they did not include rice/beans with the quesadillas and no salsa for orders of chips and salsa. Take out seems to be ok but I highly recommend you check the bag before paying for delivery.

Well, you can tell a lot about a place by how they do the beans. Simple, really. But this place overloads them with seasonings they don't need. Too many wraps at lunch, and nothing lights up your palate. A good fuel stop at lunch, or a place to sit before going on to Trader Joe's. - but the flavor is just - meh.

A friend in my building has been trying to get me to eat here for months. I have my usual go to place for burritos. There's plenty of these inexpensive Mexican places in the area and mine was the best of them. I finally gave Tortuga a try and was greatly surprised. The food was excellent the quality of the meats very high. I had the food delivered with no problems. My other place had great food but standing forever in line was too much bull. I'm happy I have a new go to place, with better food a large variety of veggies great grilled and prepared meats and no bull.

Even if you pick up you need to check your order -something will be either missing or cold. My friends love this place because it has hotel in the name but isn't a hotel which they think is cool, but we are upset every time we order.

I Love this place! The food is really delicious. Simple, fresh and very tastee! Lots of vegetarian options! The salsa is amazing!The food is priced low for being so good! The atmosphere is charming! You would think places like this would be easy to find in NYC (Charming, good food, good prices). Unfortunately they are SO hard to find! Hotel Tortuga is my favorite new place to eat in the city!

Been wanting to try this place and sorry I waited so long. First of all we really appreciated the casual vibe and the music. Very retro cool. Decor is awesome. Tacos the best I've had in NYC for a long time. Great value and the guys who work there's are really nice. Will be back soon! Thank You

I love Mexican food but hate how heavy most of it is - all sour cream and guac, no real flavors. Not this place - not only were my fish tacos amazing, but the whole place is awesome. Self-service chips and the BEST kind of salsa, it's BYOB until they get their liquor license, very friendly service, and I loved the decor. Warning though - they do not have AC so it is Hot (but it makes the six-pack of beer you get to bring in all the more refreshing). I just imagined I was on vaca in mexico. And it's a great deal - 2 fish tacos for $7 and a huge bowl of rice and beans for $1 more. Perfect amount of flavorful, delicious food! Will definitely go back.
