If you haven't tried Hopeland recently, I would recommend you go. The food is exceptional as is the staff. Pasquale, the new chef is amazing. They have a wonderful regular menu, then they have their market special menu which is food he purchases fresh daily. All the food is very good, but some dishes are magnificent. The new menu is diverse and out of the ordinary. The soups are supurb, and the fish is always fresh. Their beef is exceptional for all you carnivores. They also have a new pastry chef, who is excellent, so try one of the desserts! Finally we have a true gourmet restaurant in Brooklyn on Atlantic Ave. If you have not been there, you are missing a culinary treat.

Food grotesquely over salted:so that steak was uneatable, first course liver ironically much too sweet- a bit like a desert.

Second time to Hopeland. Enjoyed everything the first time when restaurant just opened, but wow wow wow to this visit. Selection of food is so interesting and everything was cooked to perfection. The kale salad is so good you can't stop eating it, the wild boar pasta amazing, pork chop with peppers a must. Hats off to the chef here. Hope this place is around a long time. Great back outdoor patio too.....

We've eaten at Hopeland several times- for a large group and a small birthday dinner. The food is excellent; flavors are fresh, subtle, marvelous. The grilled sardines make me feel far away in a small Mediterranean village! The newly added panna cotta is honestly divine- the best I have EVER had. A great addition to the hood.

I went with my wife to Hopeland and it was a great experience. We decided to have dinner at the bar and found the drinks and food awesome. It has a perfect small bar to enjoy some cocktails and the two pasta dishes we ordered were very good. Great addition to Boerum Hill.

Made the trip from Manhattan this past weekend and Hopeland did not disappoint. The pork chop and cornish hen were both excellent as was the Tagliatelle with seasonal mushrooms (although it was small). Well worth the trip, will be back again to see the outdoor patio

This place has all the ingredients that we look for when dining out - great food, really good wait staff, hip yet comfortable atmosphere. we really enjoyed the whole experience. highly recommend the "fish of the day" it was delicious and cooked to perfection. also the cornish hen was the best i've ever tried in a restaurant. 5 stars all the way!
