Best in Class
This is the real thing, a genuine neighborhood place with its own style and flawless execution of what it chooses to do. Great moderately priced diner fare, plenty of vegetarian choices, wicked mixed drinks and great beer list. Highly recommended.

Great Brunch
Just went for the first time. The brunch was unbelievable. I had, chorizo hash and eggs... delicious. Even the toast was great. The service was very friendly, checking on us a number of times, always keeping our coffees full. I loved the atmosphere, and I'll definitely be going back.

Stop making comfort food hip
I was so excited to have a chicken pot pie I even convinced my vegetarian roomate to have a tofu one. The service was poor: two people just standing around. The Pot pies took 45mins and no one even told us what was going on. They were poor it was like broth soup in a biscut My milkshake was chocolate milk no ice cream. Needless to say I would not recommend that place....

The best and cheapest brunch in Brooklyn
I love this place. Hope and Anchor has an amazingly creative and varied menu, and they actually acknowledge and say hello to frequent customers which is so refreshing. The brunch specials are pretty much to die for. Last week they had an eggs benedict with steak type thing with a cilantro cream sauce. The many kinds of burgers are amazing (especially the salmon burger), as are the salads (especially the Vietnamese beef salad, although there isn't too much Vietnamese about it). The interior is totally cute, with a tasteful (and neighborhood-appropriate) nautical theme. I pretty much have nothing bad to say about this place. YUM! I go every weekend now. I hear they have a fun karaoke night, too, although I haven't been yet... Yay Red Hook.

Best Burger in NYC
Here is a burger that actually comes rare when you ask for it. Truly the best tasting burger I've had in years. Great beer selection, good food every time I've been.
