Aaahhh, I've finally found the middle Eastern restaurant of my dreams-- almost. Their "hoomoos" is creamy and delicious, and the pitas are fluffly and served warm. I always ask for an extra pita, but that's basically a meal right there. Their salads are interesting, but not my favorite-- I admit this is probably because they are not very "Americanized". I prefer leafy, lettuce salads with vegetables and basic oil and vinegar dressings, but their salads are just vegetables (carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes, etc). The spices in the salads also didn't appeal to me-- I found the cucumber salad to be a bit bitter, and the carrot salad was a little too "paprikaey" for me. But, the delicious hoomoos makes it well worth going there!

I always get their famous hoomoos. It's awesome and very healthy and it's delicious in a warm, fluffy pita. Their other salads are excellent too, such as tabouli and the eggplant is also very flavorful. The service is friendly. It's a hidden gem!

The food is delicious, we ordered several dishes and loved them all. The best was hoomoos falafel. The pita is fresh and floury. It's also nice that the restaurant is pretty cheap. Am definitely going back there often!

I like this restaurant because it has a non-typical NYC atmosphere! You almost feel like you're in a different country...and I love the fact that the soccer channel is on (very often).

My favorite falafel place in NYC! The hummus is unbeatable. I used to work nearby and ate there at least a few days a week. Now that I have moved away, I still sometimes travel down there to pick up lunch- it's worth the trip! You can also get your shawarma on a hero, which is a nice option and quite delicious. Highly recommended!

My husband and I tried this restaurant on Monday and were disappointed. We tried the hummus - it lacked any flavor. Hummus is not just ground chick peas mixed with tahini. The shwarma was also tasteless. Also, since it did not come off a spit and was heated in a frying pan, I assume it was precooked. My husband's lamb kebab were very fatty and also tasteless. I am Israeli and we have both grown up in NYC eating middle-eastern foods; we know what these foods should taste like. As another reviewer mentions, the "intense flavors of greatness aren't there." That's being generous. The prices may be good but then, most middle-east sandwich shops are inexpensive.

Lovely people who work there, the food is excellent. I love the falafel over there, probably one of the best falafel in manhattan. The hoomoos is thick the way it should be. It feels like im back at home in israel. Everyone should at least give it a shot.
