One of the best Israeli restaurants for sure.
Everything I've tried so far is very tasty. The salads are fresh, the meats are juicy, the humus excuse me I mean "hoomoos" is great, big portions with reasonable prices, and the service is always outstanding. I used to live in the city but now I live in long island and truthfully speaking this place is great. I've eaten at this place over the years and it only improves year after year. How much more can they improve? I don't know but we will all have to wait and see. Definitely a staple in the community that's been around over 10 years and regardless of what people post on here, I encourage you to check the place out if you want to try Israeli food at its best. You won't be disappointed, just bring cash because they don't take credit cards!

Thumbs up
Love the salad combo... Carrots, hummus, babaganoush, tabouleh... It's fresh and the pita is warm and pillowy. Sharmas are good too.

*In Response to the previous Post*
I am the person who took her order and yes I take responsibility for forgetting to put her drink in her bag, however, I NEVER hung up on her twice. I did tell her to please hold on for ONE minute while i was finishing up with another customer so i can pull up her order and when i returned to the line she was gone. Everyone here at Hoomoos Asli works very hard to go out of our way to make ALL of our customers happy, and, if you are one of our customers, either new or old, you for sure know this.....and just to set the record straight, I called her back TWICE, one time she didnt answer and the second time when she did answer I apologized and told her I would send her the perrier on the house. She said, "NO its totally fine, i'll just come by and pick it up tmrw." That day we were VERY BUSY and mistakes do happen...but out of over 200+ orders if and when we make ONE or TWO mistakes means our mistake percentage is less than 1%. I do apologize again and hope next time you are satisfied. Happy New Year from Hoomoos Asli. Peace and Love to all.

Been going here a long time but...
When the mumbling gentleman is working there, expect to have your order messed up. I've called twice after he's made mistakes and left out things I've paid for, and twice he's left me on hold and then hung up. This time, I got him on the phone and he complained that he's too busy to do anything about it. Really depressing because they're usually quite nice but this guy should not be working with people.

10!
I heard about this place from a friend so decided to try and I'm very glad i did. Just so you know, I'm Israeli and the food there is phenomenal! I read a few reviews online but I had to try for myself ,and coming from Israel, I can honestly say all the flavors are there and i was very impress....my only complain is that they dont take credit card, other than that I will defnitly be back.

Mmm...Malawach
This place has delicious malawach, a yemeni layered savory pancake, served with a hard boiled egg, tomato puree and a spicy sauce called schug (hot sauce). The last time I went the tomato sauce was pink and not so great, but the malawach pancake is so unbelievably delicious with the schug, it really didn't matter. For the area, it's a good value, and so tasty. It's nice to see the diversity of Israeli cuisine.
