I hear they replace all of their expensive booze with well liquor. Shame! So I've been told no to order an expensive cocktail because it will only be worth 1/3 the price! The food was okay. The meat wasn't cooked to the specified temperature. My date said that happened to them before too. Huh. Staff seems nice but management seemed frantic and openly criticized a waiter in front of our table. He didn't seem nice to his wait staff.

It's ok to eat here, but getting delivery is a disaster. It took a total of 8 minutes to get my order in, and I was skeptical it would get to our apartment at all. A very painful experience. Nevertheless, it arrived quickly and served its purpose.

I love H.K. Restaurant. The food is excellent, great brunch, great drinks, fast and friendly service, happy hour at the bar twice a day. I recommend you make reservations because the restaurant is always busy. I dine at H.K. at least twice a week. I bring all my European friends their and they all love. The restaurant has a very warm, welcoming vibe to it. They just built a beautiful lounge next to the restaurant a friend of mine had her 35th birthday their and loved it. Great job H.K. keeps up the good work and I will see you this weekend for brunch.

I live a few blocks away, and have been waiting to try this amazing-looking place. I went last night and was seated in the corner behind the curtain of the front door. At first it felt cozy and private, but the next set of guests was 4 tables away. We were completely ignored. When we got up and told the host we were ready to order, the waiter came over. This went on after we got served and asked for a steak knife (because we ordered steak, we never thought a steak knife was such a crazy item to come with the plate). Again, host to the rescue. During the entire time, we were blasted with intermittent arctic air. When we were done, the plates stayed on the table, while our waiter tended to all of his customers that were seated outside. The only good thing I can say about him is that he was able to balance a tray with 1 cocktail on it. The lovely host again was our point of contact to get our check. I told him the truth about the experience. he was very charming and actually sounded both genuinely disgusted yet not surprised. It is a shame, as I wish it could be my neighborhood place to go.

I decided to give HK a chance for brunch with a friend over the Memorial day weekend and ended up having a wonderful time. The hostess and waitress were attentive and friendly, the drinks (as most people seem to agree) delicious, and the food was good. The price point of the menu is fairly valued, and for those looking to put the previous week behind you, HK has a good deal to lighten your spirits with unlimited refills of selected drink options. Always looking for restaurants to add to my list for a future repeat visit and recommendations, HK has made the cut. The only caveat I am to disclose is that I had brunch around noon, on the early side for most people, so I'm not sure how busy it gets later on. Still, I would definitely recommend worth trying.

The only saving grace of this experience was that one of my girlfriends left drunk. Otherwise it was not good. We sat down and there was no wait. It took forever for the waiter to attend to us. Soon the restaurant started to fill up and that's when it went from bad to worse. Two of the omlettes came out wrong, one was cold, they forgot my salad and brought it after the meal, and the eggplant was barely cooked in the ratatoille. The waiter was not pleasant or apologetic in any way. When we asked to speak to the manager we were told he was coming but he never did. The bill arrived and it charged us for something we didn't order and no accomodations had been made given the disasterous experience. When I pointed this out to the waiter he adjusted it but made us feel a favour had been done. Every place has their good and bad days, so possibly this wasn't typical, but our brunch was an unpleasant time.
