Nice place
Best ribs ever eated !! Nice atmosphere expecially for large groups. Barbercue sauce is maybe the weakest point.

Overpriced and just 'okay' food.
Went there first time yesterday eve. Ribs were pretty good, but sides & sausage & brisket were just okay. We were not impressed. But the shocking kicker was $7 for a bottle of beer - Sam Adams to be exact! This place is over priced and they don't even bother with plates. I know that's supposed to add to the 'authenticity', but it just made everything more annoying. The best thing was that the guys who bussed were helpful and friendly.

Salt Lick
Use to be good and it has turned into a salt lick. Management needs to taste the food!

Good laid back barbecue
Good but somewhat pricy barbecue. The brisket and beef ribs were terrific. Good variety of sides, which are big enough to share. Mac n cheese and green bean casserole we liked best. Cucumber salad was also good. The waitresses and other staff were attentive and helpful.

Good BBQ
I have been to Hill Country about 5 times. I had the Pit Mistress. The meat was excellent. I found the service to be good. If you are expecting to be catered to this is not the place for you. I am looking forward to visiting again.

disapointed
this place is a disaster. MIA)wait staff and the food was not at all worth all the waiting and annoyance we dealt with in going here. I'd go just about anywhere else for your bbq other than here.
