    Still Consistent

I don't know why there are bad reviews at all, because of the 30+ times I've eaten here and ordered take out, it's been more than perfect. Maybe eating in would be better for the fried things, but the curru and pad thai is great. I think anyone who would think it has "bad" taste eats unnaturally spicy food, because it's quite flavorful to me.

    are you kidding me??

first of all nyc has got to be one city that lacks in the thai department. after going to lotus of siam in vegas i can not bring myself to eat thai often here and when i do i expect the same average curries or pad thai. well lo and behold i got delivery from them and my curry was like watered down broth no spice no flavor at all. i actually threw it out. this spot used to be a chinese restaurant before hand and after this experience i am convinced it is the same owners as the old spot with a new decor.

    Comfort Thai Food!

I was a little pensive at first but my friends insisted at eating here (one just lives across aparently!!!) I read the reviews, a little worried as I am Chinese and picky with asian food. We ended up ordering a couple of appetizers and 2 entrees to share and it wasnt too bad! We shared the curry puffs, the tofu tod and duck salad... the portions are generous (esp the duck salad... it should be an entree by the looks of it!). Shared a pad thai and a slightly sweet and spicy fish. The fish was fresh, really spicy (which I like) and liked that it was pre-fried before sauteeing with the sauce. Crunchy at the same time while the fish just melted in our mouths! Pad thai was great but the fish was empowering to our vegetarian pad thai ( we should have ordered pad thai beef or something). It was BYOB, so we skipped next door for beer and sank in our seats with coconut pudding. Beer and coconut pudding... interesting... positively interesting. Bill came up alright for 3 girls, $20 each. Oh. someone had mentioed the bathroom. and we all checked it out. fun.. . if you dont shower at all, I swear you'll never figure out how to use the bathroom.... it's fun, great idea.

    Not great...

I have to agree with the review before me..I found the food to be pretty average as well. I had dumplings that were okay, but then the duck curry I had was really average if not below average. It was a bit watery and tasteless. There are much better Thai restaurants in the area that are int he same price range, if not cheaper even.

    Who wrote these reviews?

I don't know who wrote these reviews, but I ordered from here (delivery) last week and I have never had such subpar food in my life. I ordered spring rolls, which came completely soaked in grease, were loosely wrapped in the shell they usually use but they were about 7" long and were flimsy and super greasy (inedible). i also got tom yum soup with chicken and it smelled so fishy i couldn't eat it. and then i got the kee mao with tofu and it was just ok. i felt so grossed out by the other stuff that i didnt even eat this until the next day. the food was not fresh and delicious like the other reviews stated. it was greasy and quality was like a cheap chinese restaurant that you would go to as a last resort. it really wasn't good. i wouldn't give them a 2nd chance. maybe eating in the restaurant is better (?) but i can't imagine it could be good enough for the other reviews i've seen posted on here.

    Great for Groups

The next time you go out with a large group, this is definitely the place. The BYOB policy means that you can enjoy wonderful food with whatever wine or beer you want. And 'wonderful food' is certainly appropriate - the food is fantastic. The curries are great, the pad thai is tasty, etc. Overall, a great experience.
