    Great food and atmosphere.

Everything I have tried there has been excellent (especially the sushi). Service is excellent. There are always great specials. Excellent drinks also.

    Like Cheers

When dining at Hi-Life, the other evening my date and I felt like we were in an episode from Cheers. The place was packed with regulars and there was a super friendly vibe. The food was excellent as well. We'll be back until somebody knows our names.

I am hooked on Hi Life

I started coming to Hi Life with friends to take advantage of their daily special deals. I still come for the deals, but now I’m hooked on Hi Life’s excellent comfort food. They have great mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, hand cut fries and delicious pastas.

    Charming

Charming restaurant. We started with some martinis at the bar, while waiting for a table outside. Bar crowd was a lot of fun. Service was good, menu quite diverse ranging from sushi to steak to pasta to chicken. Sushi and NY Shell steak were both delicious. We’ll be back.

    City's classic

I love the city's classic, been there forever "joints", e.g. Pete's Tavern, Walkers, Old Town, Lenox Lounge, but Hi Life is my favorite. I've been frequenting Hi Life for over ten years and it has just grown on me. In my opinion there is simply not a more comfortable place to eat a steak and watch a ballgame, or meet friends for dinner. The decor is a mix of mahogany and leather upholstery, with a funky collection of antique treasures. And, consistantly over the years this place has always had cute and interesting servers and bartenders that give added dimension. In short, Hi Life is one of the city's classics.

Used to be something, now not so much

my wife and i used to frequent but not anymore. had a few bad take out experiences and the last time in there for a meal the service was absent while the food disappointing. there's too many other great places on the upper west side to waste your time on hyped up bar food with a sushi bar thrown in the corner...

food not so great and atmosphere is poor

I was one of the people that use to swing by the hi life on 72nd street, sorry to say there is no comparison. Its seems that the new hi life is trying, but hasn't quite got the what the old place had. Perhaps it means they need new management.
