nice ambiance, mediocre food
I live nearby and was thrilled when this place opened. The space is lovely - high ceilings and roomy, lots of dark wood, nice lighting. They don't crowd you in and it's not too noisy, so it's a great place to meet friends and have a conversation. The only problem is the food - very mediocre and overpriced. The dinners were always pretty poor, but they used to have good burgers, spicy fries, salads, and brunch, but now even those are pretty blah. Really too bad - it could be a real gem if only they would do something about the kitchen.

A complete waste of money
My husband and I ordered $80 worth of food. My medium rare salmon? Dry and tasteless. My husband's pasta was mushy. The warm chocolate cake was hard as a rock. Wish we ate somewhere else...

dont get the negativity
Henry's is consitently solid -- good quality for its pricerange and a nice spacious layout w courteous staff. I regularly get the Tuna w pistashio greenbeans, among other things and have found the quality consistently high.

Gone Downhill
What a disappointment. Our order was wrong; the food was cold; the entrees were very skimpy, and the prices have gone up. I've been coming here for years but won't be going back for a long time. I'll miss having it as a regular go-to.

Why here, if you have all of NYC to choose from
The food is consistently mediocre. The service folks are very lovely but why did I wait 30 minutes for my entree. Then, in the middle of it, they say they are shifting servers so we get a new person that we never met. Then she offers us cheese on our pasta that we have half eaten. It feels neighborhood-y which is lovely but not worth the price or your time. It's NYC people! You have the world at your finger tips and Henry's doesn't cut it.

What happened Henry?
I haven't been to Henry's in a couple of years and decided to take my family (2 of them from out of town) to dinner. Because we were six, we called ahead to ensure that we would be properly situated. Once there and getting a table made to seat four comfortably, we were already disappointed. We had - a change of waiters, mediocore tasting food (although the shank was great), a staff mishap caused one of our party members to get her shoes wet no asking if we wanted coffee or dessert..very disappointing...it may be another two years efore I go back...

Mediocre, unfortunately
This is the type of place the UWS needs, so I really wanted it to be that good. I tried both brunch and dinner and see no reason to return. Very pleasant atmosphere, staff was fine, but the food -- well, there's no other way to say this -- is totally, entirely mediocre. A real shame. Hope it improves, so I can become a regular!
