    Best salads

    I always come to henrys for their salads! The kale salad is probably my favorite salad in all of New York City. I've had a few other dishes there that were good by the salads ...wow.

    More Wine Choices

    We love Henry's. We wish there were some more reasonable choices on the wine list. With $12 and $15 items on the the menu for entrees, it would be great if there were also some wines below $36. A nice bottle of wine to go with a steak yes, for my burger? We would eat there more often for sure if there were some choices that matched more of the menu options.

    Never, ever again.

    Never, ever again. I finally figured out why my husband couldn't stand going to Henry's. I would drag him here for dinner once every other month. And once again he begrudgingly agreed to go there for dinner tonight. I couldn't be a more laid back customer and my expectations are reasonable. I come from the Midwest for Pete's sake.....midwesterners are notoriously easy to please in restaurants. We rarely, if ever, send anything back. And my expectations of sevice are, well, let me put it this way......all you have to do is simply pay attention to your customer's needs. That's what I came to your restaurant for. To be taken care of. But finally I've had enough at Henry's. Wait staff....Do the things your supposed to do without having to be asked.....bring water to the table.....bread and butter.....make sure we have silverware to eat our food. You are paid to pay attention to what's going on. Restaurant Management.....care about the customers if they express disappointment, particularly when the customer demonstrates that there are incontrovertible issues with the service and food. If you claim to have an excellent chef in the kitchen but I disagree do not be so dismissive. Do not simply walk away from the table and act as if our expectations of quality food and service are unreasonable. And $13 cocktails that are literally the size of a thimble. Jesus h Christ on a stick..... I got bigger pours for less money at intermission of the musical Annie! AND I got to keep the cute cup. Your chef is outstanding, so you say?!? Well, there's a very good reason your restaurant is only half full at 9pm on a Friday night on Manhattan's upper west side. It's because you don't pay attention.

    nice ambiance, mediocre food

    I live nearby and was thrilled when this place opened. The space is lovely - high ceilings and roomy, lots of dark wood, nice lighting. They don't crowd you in and it's not too noisy, so it's a great place to meet friends and have a conversation. The only problem is the food - very mediocre and overpriced. The dinners were always pretty poor, but they used to have good burgers, spicy fries, salads, and brunch, but now even those are pretty blah. Really too bad - it could be a real gem if only they would do something about the kitchen.

    A complete waste of money

    My husband and I ordered $80 worth of food. My medium rare salmon? Dry and tasteless. My husband's pasta was mushy. The warm chocolate cake was hard as a rock. Wish we ate somewhere else...

    dont get the negativity

    Henry's is consitently solid -- good quality for its pricerange and a nice spacious layout w courteous staff. I regularly get the Tuna w pistashio greenbeans, among other things and have found the quality consistently high.

    Gone Downhill

    What a disappointment. Our order was wrong; the food was cold; the entrees were very skimpy, and the prices have gone up. I've been coming here for years but won't be going back for a long time. I'll miss having it as a regular go-to.
