Henry's End Restaurant

Read the reviews and they were great so went to the restaurant. What I did not realize was that the reviews were from 2012 and was totally disappointed by at best mediocre food. The Calamari was simply awful-the Duck was tasteless and worse than a bad neighborhood Chinese restaurant and everything else was equally bad. The restaurant must have had a change of their chef which has resulted in my warning all who go there to expect food which could easily be better prepared in their own home. It is a shame. I have been told that this place in it's glory was wonderful.

This is my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn heights and one of my favorites in the city. The owner, is a great host. The chicken lemonase is just indescribably great. My ONLY dislike about henrys end is that it's so small that you leave smelling like the kitchen. But it's worth it.

It's been a couple of years since I've eaten here until tonight. I really forgot how wonderful the food is here. there is such careful attention to the quality and deliciousness of each dish. I'm thoroughly impressed again. Far superior to its neighbors nearby. Give it a try if you haven't been here yet. I'm planning on going back next week.

i've eaten here a number of times-but always with fellow carnivores and love the wild game. but last night, for mother's day, i went with 4 non-meat eaters. we all ate fish, and now i realize what i've been missing. from the food to atmosphere-to service, henry's is just plain one of the best.

Excellent wild game menu. My favorite restaurant.

I've dined at Henry's End several times over several years, but last night was the first time I was able to order from their wild game menu. Dinners before last night's were, frankly, unmemorable; but my kangaroo steak changed that! The difference between my meal last night and prior dinners at Henry's End was profound. That's not to say other items on the menu are not desirable, but my wild game dinner far exceeded anything I've ever had there. I expect that I will return to Henry's End indefinitely,as it is a standard meeting spot for my friends; but I will only order from the wild game menu if it is available. Additionally, the venue is cozy & intimate without feeling cramped; the service is attentive without being pretentious. The wine list is vast, with a wide range of prices. It's a decent place to spend an evening, and the wild game menu turns the quality up a notch.
