great food, some unique thai options
We're long-time Hells Kitchen residents, so we've enjoyed many Thai meals in the neighborhood. Heng is definitely amongst the best. The menu has some interesting dishes -- definitely not run-of-the-mill Thai. Their 10th Ave location results in the place being a bit quiet, but I hope people discover them soon so they don't go the way of the some other 10th Ave spots. Some highlights that we've had so far: pad thai with duck (seriously good stuff), Spareribs (with a great scarlet sauce), Grilled Pork Tender Salad with spicy lime dressing, curry (Gang Kua Supparote) with with pineapple chunks, bell peppers, cashew nuts (packs some heat, watch out). Only disappoint so far was the summer roll, which I found lacking in shrimp. I would recommend Heng for eat-in and delivery. We've found delivery to be pretty good (within 30 minutes), which is impressive on a rainy Friday night.

HELL'S KITCHEN's FINEST!
OMG- i live in Hell's Kitchen where Thai is of the essense- there are easily 20 asian restaurants within 10blocks of 9th Ave. and Heng2 is the BEST!- they are more creative than any other joint as far as the menu goes. Always clean as a whistle, fun, super friendly staff. and it's BYOB. Leave boring 9th Ave- walk over to 10th- NO REGRETS- go for the Crab Crouquettes & Drunken noodles!

Nice choices for lunch special
I work just 4 blocks away and I ordered food from there three times last week. Lunch special is areasonable (6.95 or more) AND it comes with an appetizer, very filling! The best I've had so far is the Pad Thai and the curry puffs! The Pad Thai is crunchy, savory, and just right amount of sweetness!

Best Pad Thai
This place is awesome! I've been dying to go back ever since I went there last month. I had the duck pad thai and it was phenomenal! My friend had the duck over rice and it was done perfectly! The only con is that the place is kinda small and the service is a bit slow. But that's okay. The food definitely make up for it!

Good, but can be even better...
Good food, a notch above uniformly homogeneous & a bit boring Thai places on 8th Ave. Only complaint was that kitchen was unable to turn out three meals simultanously. My friends were nearly half-done when my meal arrived. Admittedly, grilling of my chicken might've taken a little longer than stirring curry. Anyway, it wasn't a big thing, since we weren't in a rush & service was very attentive. Once they work out kinks of running a new restaurant, this place will shine. Those kids do strive!

Where are the tastes of Thailand?
The Pad Thai sauce did not have any taste. The Thai Iced Tea unfortunately tasted like milky water. On the plus side, the vegetables were fresh.
