MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT
I discovered Hell's Kitchen many years ago, when you could never get a table without a reservation. Even the bar was a rush-hour scene. I soon discovered that the popularity was well-deserved. I've been a steady fan for many years. Dishes are beautifully prepared, service is good, and the prices remain reasonable. No one cooks many of these dishes better and with more creativity. I've taken many friends and they've become fans. Gracious wait-staff and management. They notified me immediately when a friend forgot her credit card (they only had my phone number.) They were more than helpful when an elderly friend fell in the street and limped into the restaurant, upset and late. They made him feel like a king.

Good food great experience
My friends and I went looking for Mexican food and landed up at Hells Kitchen. We were served complimentary corn bread with a black bean dip which was tasty. My friend and I split the calamari and the chicken breast with mole. Both tasted great and had lots of flavor to the food. The chicken came with a mashed potato patty which was the only downfall to the entree. My friend had the bass which were great and two of my other friends had appetizers which were small in quantity but was tasty and filling enough. However they did charge us $4 for a plate of onions we never ordered (but then again this is expected in New York). Skip the sangria and go for the wine. Overall a good experience if your looking for contemporary "new" Mexican food.

one of my favorite places to eat in the city
I love this place. I don't know what some of these people are talking about. The food is amazing and everytime i eat there the service is fine, food is great and fresh and hot. The margaritas are amazing. Sometimes it's crowed just like any other good restaurant in the city, so if you show up at 8, ur gonna have to wait a little. I find that if you're super nice to the hostess, it makes it a little easier to get a table. Sometimes it can be loud, so take the noise down a little bit, please.

Delicious!
This restaurant has delicious, eclectic food. I had an amazing appetizer of fried mashed plantains stuffed with goat cheese and then a quesadilla with artichokes. The flavors are artful and surprising - cool, crisp, sweet, spicy. My husband had appetizer ribs with a tamarind bbq sauce and roasted chicken and monterey jack quesadillas, both of which delighted him. The tables are very close together, but the food and the service are worth it.

U must be confused
I have been to Hell's Kitchen many times. The food and service is amazing. I read the review and they must be mistaken HK for Hell's Kitchen. I am always treated very well by the manager, host, bartender....the whole staff and leave satisfied. If you get the chance...eat at Hell's Kitchen.

HK is not the same as Hell's Kitchen
Given the poor reviews I read here, I felt the need to defend one of my favorite restaurants in the city. The food is amazing, the drinks are strong, and the staff is quite friendly. I think the previous reviews are of HK on 39th/9th, not Hell's Kitchen on 46th/9th... Hell's Kitchen doesn't serve turkey burgers. Get the Mixiote while you're there, or anything scallop related. You won't be disappointed.

Would not recommend to my worst enemy
After reading the prior review, I feel like we must have dined together. We waited forever for our reserved table with no apologies. The waitstaff was OK, the food was decent, and the prices were double what I would have expected. Some of the dishes were OK but my experience was soured by how poorly we were treated. The manager treated us like we were lucky to be there. He won't have to worry about seeing me anymore!
